Compatibility issues

So I have been greatly enjoying crusader king recently, and decided to start modding ck3. After a bit of modding I came across four mods that are incompatible, them being:

More Religion Doctrines Tenets Slots:

Carnalitas Mundi

Debauchery in Crusader Kings

Adroit Religion

After experimenting with these four mods it seem like More Religion Doctrines Tenets Slots is compatible Carnalitas Mundi and Adroit Religion if they are both below More Religion Doctrines Tenets Slots but will remove Debauchery in Crusader Kings tenets from selection when creating a new religion. Carnalitas Mundi and Debauchery in Crusader Kings will overwrite each other depending on which is below which also More Religion Doctrines Tenets Slots, and Carnalitas Mundi will always overwrite Adroit Religion no matter the load order. Finally Debauchery in Crusader Kings and Adroit Religion seem to be compatible with each other.

So does anyone know if there is a patch that is being worked on or is already out, or solution to this cause I would really like to use all four mods. Any information is much appreciated. thanks

There's no easy solution right now, at least until Paradox reworks how religion files are defined, but for now you can create a compatibility patch.

  1. Use the CK3 launcher to create a new, empty mod.
  2. Go to the CK3 base game file common/religion/doctrines/00_core_tenets.txt. Make a copy of it inside of your new empty mod (<YOUR MOD FOLDER>/common/religion/doctrines/00_core_tenets.txt).
  3. Use a tool such as WinMerge to compare the differences between the original file and the files in Carnalitas Mundi, Adroit Religion, etc. More often than not, these simply add new tenets. In the case of More Religion Doctrines Tenets Slots, it's just changing a single number.
  4. Copy and paste the changes from the 00_core_tenets.txt in the mods to the 00_core_tenets.txt in your new mod.
  5. Put your new mod at the end of the load order.

Now you've created a compatibility patch that merges the new tenets and changes from all the mods into a single file, allowing you to play CK3 with all of them together. Unfortunately, you'll have to start over every time any of the mods updates.
