Labia Posted March 18, 2013 Posted March 18, 2013 Does anyone know of a "proper" (I mean skirt and shell) cheerleader uniform for New Vegas? I'm aware of the Cowboys-style pants and top uniform, but I don't like that style at all. The one from Belthans School Days in FO3 is a bit weak.
Halstrom Posted March 18, 2013 Posted March 18, 2013 Hmm yeah always a bit disappointed there hasn't been one that I know of, maybe like the Glee outfits would be great, also the one piece leotard/skirt combo's or even just gymnastic leotards. Would be good like to see Preg versions too of course
astymma Posted March 18, 2013 Posted March 18, 2013 I think the NV Cloth Collection has the skirts and tops but you might need to retex them with a proper cheerleader texture.
jonas_opines Posted March 18, 2013 Posted March 18, 2013 My most recent version of my compilation mod adds an outfit that probably qualifies with very little retexture work. http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/47059
Labia Posted March 19, 2013 Author Posted March 19, 2013 I've seen that and thought it might be a starting point. But I'm more after realism instead of fetish, so the skirt should be longer (the pleated shape of your white skirt looks promising, without the belt and buckle, but it should come down to the second knuckle of the hand) and the top is definitely the wrong shape. Also, sneakers or trainers in place of heels. I've been looking at various clothing mods to see if maybe there are meshes that could be mashed together. I think finding the meshes will be more of an issue than the textures.

The Djeans shirt is actually pretty darn close to a realistic cheer outfit with a retexture (just remove the buttons from the mesh). The pleated skirt, long and short versions, could be scavenged from a number of different schoolgirl uniform mods of which there are quite a few around the net.
Guest user29 Posted March 20, 2013 Posted March 20, 2013 If you can link me all the parts, I can probably make a mash up. Though I can't do textures.
jonas_opines Posted March 20, 2013 Posted March 20, 2013 Maybe if you had a picture to use as reference for what you're looking for exactly?
Labia Posted March 21, 2013 Author Posted March 21, 2013 It's actually hard to find good pictures without resorting to movie or TV stills. Glee's uniform is a good example of a traditional three-color design. Flyaway pleats are unrealistic, of course. Also, Hellcats or Bring It On for examples of crop tops and low-rise skirts.
Guest user29 Posted March 21, 2013 Posted March 21, 2013 By mashup I mean, lets say you have 3 different outfits. None of them look like a cheerleading outfit, but lets say the boots from one outfit, the skirt, from another, and the top from the last one could be combined into one outfit that looks like a cheer leading outfit.
Labia Posted March 21, 2013 Author Posted March 21, 2013 I know. I've been looking for meshes, too. But Jonas asked for reference pictures on what we had in mind.
Nymphonomicon Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 Screw reality, this is a video game, let's go nuts...
Labia Posted April 9, 2013 Author Posted April 9, 2013 There is a version of that Lollipop Chainsaw outfit for Skyrim, with a skirt that moves about as gracefully as sheet metal.
jonas_opines Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 Sorry, I'm working on a Moxxi outfit right now, I had meant to try to do something with this but got distracted. If I can find a good top and I could do this pretty quickly.
Labia Posted April 10, 2013 Author Posted April 10, 2013 I meant to look for meshes, but got sidetracked by new games. And then I ditched all of my NV mods for a fresh install of TTW. I think the top from one of the Tomb Raider outfits might make a good enough substitute for starters.
