All my characters bodies became the same

So, all my characters had unique bodies obviously made with racemenu, but now all three have the exact same body shape. I know it has something to do with Bodyslide setting like a default nude player body, But I have no clue how to undo that to get my unique bodies back. I'd appreciate any advice, I'm using cosio

Your body made in RM has nothing to do with BS as such. The RM preset will adapt itself to the preset you built in BS.

Exactly, "The RM preset will adapt itself to the preset you built in BS." is the thing I don't want to happen. I don't want racemenu to reference the built body in BS because it applies over my characters individual custom racemenu made body.

I'm thinking fully uninstalling the body or bodyslide files for it and re doing seeing if that gives back the unique bodies, then NOT building the Cosio body in BS at all. Thanks for the reply!

You cannot avoid it. RM uses your default body and your default body is the one you built in BS.

Then your clothes and armours will not fit correctly on your body. Or put another way, your clothes and armour will have the shape/fit of Cosio (or whatever they were last built to) and while you are wearing an outfit it will make you look like Cosio. Remove the outfit and your body will be whatever the default CBBE is.

As an example - I use UUNP so if I were to use one of your CBBE presets it would look different in my game than in yours. Same applies if, say, you download a CBBE preset from somewhere. It will look different in your game than it did in screenshots you looked at.

The most likely thing is you rebuilt whatever body or clothes you see this problem in without morphs checked or disabled something needed for nioverride to work.

Yeah Cosio came with bodyslide files for the characters naked body shape, not armors, so that's why all the characters are now using that same shape.

So I'll def try re doing it with morphs checked and if that doesn't work then just removing the Cosio bodyslides from BS to see if it reverts their shapes

My default body I built solely in racemenu without BS though.
and yeah I would of course build armors to cosio, but I didn't mean to build the "CoisoHD" body with a shape, because now all the nude bodies use that one shape

Sorry if i'm talking in circles, I appreciate the help a lot

No you didn't. Your default body is CBBE which you chose when you installed it and selected the CBBE option when installing BS. Your default female body is whatever, e.g., the first female Nord preset uses.

You diddling with it in RM just changes the appearance. These changes will not carry over into another game unless you export/save them as an RM preset and import it when in character creation of your new game.

I don't know if 'brownie' is a preset but let us assume it is. You would build the brownie preset to the CosioHD body (body, hands and feet). Then you would build your armours etc to the brownie preset.

Really simple because I think you still don't get the point.

What you change in Racemenu (body morphs) is applied on top of the body you have currently in use. For these changes (morphs) to be permanent you must save it as a Racemenu preset. That's it. There is no way for you to build a body in Racemenu from 0, you always have to start from the body model your game is using.

If you insist in using morphs to achieve different body shapes for different characters, you still need to have a common body model. Then you can apply all the changes you want in Racemenu and save them as a preset so you can keep them.

And if you don't then your other characters will have the default CBBE body as will every female human, elf and orc in the game.
