SKSE not loading Skyrim.

So I had it working before, did a fresh install of skyrim again, installed SKSE and now when I click on the skse loader, it opens the cmd which closes right away and that's it. It wont launch skyrim at all although it does show tesv.exe running in the current running processes when I open task manager. There is no old files of it left either.

What version of skse do you have did you place the files in the right area what version of skyrim do you have? This is the newest build of  skse http://skse.silverlock.org/

Also, make sure you use the matching SKSE - 1.6.11 is for Skyrim 1.9 (the current beta), SKSE 1.6.9 is for Skyrim 1.8.151 (the current release).   Also, as myuhinny stated. make you installed in the correct folder, and installed the SKSE scripts in the data folder (make sure to overwrite when asked).

My Skyrim is at 1.8.151 and the SKSE version I'm using is 1.6.9. I used an older version just now and it loaded the game just fine although it said that the version I have it outdated etc. I'm finding it really strange that the recent build which worked fine for me has stopped working all of a sudden. Could it be a load order or something? I did use BOSS as well and not much of an error that seems like it would prevent skse from launching the game.

try reinstalling latest version from:

http://skse.silverlock.org/

sometimes, by not known reasons, some skse files got deleted. some people claims that NMM causes this. but no one knows for sure.

I've done that like all night last night, I've been installing it over and over again, and nothing happens. I will try disabling some mods and see if that does anything.

I had trouble awhile back trying to get that stupid HDT system to run right first it looked alright in MCM but feet underground couldn't turn on tabs like for smithing couldn't change values to get feet above ground overwrote it again now MCM was gone tried again same thing. Finally I said screw this shit and unzipped skse folders again but this time I used those folders to track down every single piece of skse in my game folder then wiped their asses out.

Then once I had killed everything skse in the folders I re-added skse files and everything worked fine. Well till i added the fairytail outfit that messed up those ones so now they are sunk into ground again but not the fairytail boots. But then I figured out a little bit ago what to do for that I just had to manually add the fairytail spell to my player now all boots are back to normal again.

So you might just have to track down every single skse file that comes with skse manually then delete them then re add them back once all of them have been deleted.

I had that problem once.

Do as myuhinny says also go to My Games/Skyrim and remove SKSE folder.

Then launch game via normal TESV.exe load game save & exit.

Put all SKSE files back to Skyrim Folder make shortcut and copy it on desktop.

Maybe that will help you.

I think it was the HDT system. I deleted all the HDT system files and then installed SKSE again and then the HDT system again and now it works.
