I'm super new to loverslab and sexlab and have no idea what i'm doing. I've gotten Hdt-Smp working with CBBE SMP, and I've tried a few animation mods and mods to initiate sex but either I get nothing happening or they go stand on a bed naked and my game softlocks. I really just want a mod right now so I can see how my physics work during sex, but I can't even get the sex to happen.

This usually indicates an issue with FNIS, so make sure you installed it properly, you're using it after installing any animation related mod and check if the text it gives you after using it doesn't contain any error or warning messages.

For other issues that you may have going on, you should include additional info like which mod manager you're using, which mods did you install (including version/source would be ideal to easily check if anything is outdated or incompatible with SE), etc. That info is key when you have issues and don't know exactly where.

But the most important part is that you can't rush it, there is no easy or quick way to get all the required mods without learning how to do things properly. So take it easy, go slowly and make sure you understand each step of the way. If you're truly new to Skyrim SE and mods I recommend you to check the thingly I wrote, it covers the basic stuff to get a working game with Sexlab and explains the most used features from the different tools you'll be using. It's the orange link in my signature, the blue links are good posts to find more mods and info about them (if you feel adventurous and want to expand your mods, but you should get the basic things covered first...).

i've been modding Skyrim for maybe a year, even wrote a basic script mod, although I'm still a noob probably, but Sexlab is super new to me. I got some animations working now, but I still feel really overwhelmed with Sexlab, and most resources I find are about LE not SE.

I know I got FNIS working right although it took some effort for sure, no errors in the FNIS Generator.

Also I use Vortex, is there an easy way to dump my modlist when i'm looking for support?

Part of it for sure is I saw the pages of your blue links or similar and got overwhelmed, so I decided to relax and just focus on getting sex working in general, is there a better testing mod than match maker? Also how would I go about testing individual animations as most come in packs?

Match maker is the best mod for testing as it is the simplest available and it works fine in LE/SE. Did you check the SLAL MCM and enable + register all your animations to SexLab?

Matchmaker is the simplest one. Two spells, no setup, no dialogues or settings to tweak.

For testing specific animations you could go for a different mod like follow me for sex or use sexlab tools to get a list of available animations (I think that's the mod in question, haven't used it really). But you still need to install the whole animation pack and get SLAL to work, register them in game etc. 

 

For Vortex I have no idea, I see people posting screenshots of the mods/plugin windows in Vortex. Can't say if there is a better way to share your mods/install/loadorder.

also yes I did, but i'm almost certain I did something wrong, so far only animations i've gotten to work is the port of ZAZ which doesn't use SLAL as far as I can tell.

@Yinkle, since I have your attention for a moment seems when I use your mod the tits go out to infinity and spaz out. what did i do wrong? It's hilarious and terrifying and frustrating, like most modding seems to be. also massive lag, how did i bork it?

I assume you mean ABBA and you are using HDT SMP? This probably means either that you have borked SMP config or the wrong skeleton files are being loaded. "XP32 Maximum Skeleton" shouldn't be overwritten unless you absolutely know what you are doing.

I do mean ABBA and am using SMP, and i'm fairly certain xp32 isn't being over writen because  I clearly have no idea what i'm doing, i'll check it again. What SMP config would you recomend? I couldn't get default CBBE and HDT-SMP doing physics, but maybe i just did a dumb? so i got CBBE-SMB (the old version of 3bbb) and it worked well enough until I tried ABBA

@Yinkle I'm testing rightnow so I used the console command removeallitems on a random npc then I used a spell from eager npcs (Magnify Ardor) and then it borked hard.

There is one mod for removing clothes to on npc. Dont work on all.

Check this one. You dont even need to convert it.
