how to stop npcs and player sims having public sex

Hi I adore this mod but my only issue is my sim or npc sims will randomly start having sex on public lots (mainly clubs - not sex clubs) and I don't mean in bathroom stalls or closets I'm fine with those, but there's occasions such as my two married sims started having sex on a couch in the club in front of other sims

Is there a way to prevent this without turning off autonomy completely because i like my sims having their own free will, i just want them to stop getting busy in front of other sims lol

Check the sex autonomy settings....

In Build mode, there are some signs to control autonomy regarding nudity and sex. You can allow or disallow sex and nudity for particular rooms or the whole lot - and even combine them to achieve results like sex being forbidden on the club's lot, but allowed in the restrooms or the basement. Every sign also exists as an invisible version, so you don't see them outside of Build mode.

Bear in mind though, that nudity is "required" for sex, so disallowing nudity for a certain area (lot or room) will also prevent any sex interactions there.

I've done this for every club, bar etc. and now my Sims only have sex in "appropriate" locations.

Oh wow, I wasn't aware of the signs. Now I can probably play my game with the autonomy actually enabled.

Funny thing is, I stumbled upon these in Build mode while looking for something entirely different and thought "Meh, who needs this?" - only to find myself in a situation like yours and the OP's two days later ?

These signs can really save your gameplay.

That it does. Trying to have a child's Birthday party when all of a sudden a group of people start orgying on the floor several feet away would be sick and wrong.

 

Now I can nuke the act in settings and not allow adults to sneak away for some risky sex, but then were would the fun be in that? (a kid's birthday party isn't the most exciting thing in the world for an adult, so you can't fault a guest for sneaking away to have some fun. Especially if it's at a venue with the space available to). With the signs, I can still allow the act, but away from the eyes of my sweet innocent birthday sim.

 

P.S. This actually happened in my game. It's probably why I turned off sex autonomy.

Okay, I have to admit, that beats "two cops drinking at a bar while the bartender is happily involved in a threesome (with one cop's wife and some rando) atop of said bar" by a mile. At a kid's birthday party? Does the word "decency" even exist in Simlish?

 

Seriously, these Sims are already overly willing to have some fun in vanilla (I've actually re-oriented my "womanizer" Sim back then, because it was almost too easy). Having WW autonomy set to "normal" or even above, one flirty Sim is enough to start the orgy of the century sometimes, so I'm more than grateful for these signs - and the cheat that allows you to enter Build mode on any lot. Otherwise, I could probably go ahead and rename the hospital to something like "St. Procreation", because of all the pregnant women giving birth, naming their children and then starting to make new ones with the (extremely willing) doctors right there ? Not that my male Sims would be any better (see above example).

I think, these situations really make you understand, what it means to be the god of this little universe your Sims inhabit: Your one and only job is to keep them from fucking everything up (no pun intended here).
