Help needed

Hello everyone.

 

I am new to this forum and to installing mods world, and i am running into some issues.

 

I just reinstall it Slyrim LE and MO2 then i download and install FNIS, FNIS spells, and FNIS creature pack. then i navigate to FNIS behaviour folder and i run the generator for users .... i got the same result (i mention as i uninstall Skyrim LE and MO2 over 3 times in last 24 hours and because of FNIS not loading any animations i can`t proceed further to install mods, i want first to see this damn FNIS loading animations ) ... 0 animations... i wonder if i have no other mods installed, just only that 3 fnis from above, there is no animations in the normal game without mods?

 

I am adding 2 screenshots to show you my folders tree and maybe here is someone skilled who can tell me what or where i am doing wrong.

I mention as all the steps when i install it MO2 and FNIS where followed from GamePoets Video in Youtube, the ony difference was the locations as we do not have the same configurations in folders.

because it doesn't look like an official game to me!

I don't want to insinuate anything to you, but at a pirated copy there is no support here.

That's a weird install path, assuming "The Elder Scrolls V Skyrim Legendary Edition" is a folder you created to store all your stuff (that's a long name, unnecessary but okay, I guess). You have the MO2 folder inside, so I'll keep my previous assumption, but then you have a MODS folder outside of MO2, why? if you use a portable instance (to keep everything inside a single folder like MO2) you'll have a mods folder inside MO2 already.

 

That file path confusion apart, you're launching GenerateFNISforUsers through MO2, right? you added it as an executable and selected it in the list then pressed Run, yeah? Like every up to date tutorial for MO2/FNIS would instruct you to do. Because you see, the first lines in the FNIS window aren't showing the proper file path. Also, where is your Steam installed?

No worries, this game has been gifted to me from a friend he brought me a dvd  ( on dvd is that design with the dragon on side ) because i was at his house last winter and i play on his console this game, i told him i like it very much but i am not comfy with console, i like to use computer....about a month ago or so he come to visit me and brought me the game , to be honest is not my business where he got it, it was a gift and i appreciate his gesture. i never asked him "my friend did you pay for it or not?"

The way i install it it was my own choice to browse and create new folder where the game to be installed...i am not sure if i have steam folder in my computer...but i will look for it...i used a while ago. I attach a photo of the dvd but once again i have no clue of where he got it from.

But i understand the idea of the rules here, and i apologise....if anyone can tell me how can i delete this thread or maybe an admin to do that i would be pleased to know it is deleted and no more head ache.

whoopty doo? You know what, offense taken. the only reason you, and only you, think that this is pirated is because its not the steam version. There are many different types of retails out there and Steam is only one. Yes its the most popular but others do exist. The Rule Seven you are trying to rub in my face only submits that;

 

"Piracy is not provided here." - meaning this forum will not allow Pirated games to be displayed here or torrents to Download them.

"It's not our business where you get a game, but you will not get help with piracy here, and helping somebody else pirate is strictly against the rules." - meaning don't respond to a request for a pirated copy or try to help get a pirated copy.

 

No where does it say that if anyone on this forum thinks that the copy is a pirated version then anyone in this forum cannot reply to the post. The fact that you tried to shame my post with a "Quote" of Rule number Seven is disgraceful when you clearly do not even know what Rule Seven says.

 

Ether way, the game doesn't look like it has be pirated to me and, as stated earlier, there are multiple retails of this game. So I choose to Quote the information available at the mod download page itself.

Buddy, that's way to much information. "it was downloaded off a disk I was gifted by a friend." end of story, do you know its pirated? "no" move on, "yes" oh no! apologize and move on.

 

That picture looks legit but TBH its not that hard to download something like that off the web.

There are plenty of threads with the "Not a legal copy of the game" warning from FNIS and moderators just close them, same if the person explicitly says their game is pirated. Seriously, the moment there is the slightest doubt about the game legitimacy you can invest your time elsewhere because chances are it will be ignored or closed. That's why I usually point this detail so the person asking for help can solve the issue or clarify the situation.

 

Hellspawn, there is a procedure to register a dvd copy of the game and add it to your Steam Library (given that copy wasn't already registered into a different Steam account). I'd recommend you to try it. I'm not sure that dvd contains the latest Skyrim version, but simply adding it to Steam will give you access to the latest patches for it. And having the game in digital means you don't need to worry about physical disks getting damaged or lost. You can install and reinstall the game all you want as long as you have access to the account where you registered the game.

I know about that "Not A Legal copy of the game" warning. I get it when I reinstall Skyrim and forget to run it though steam once. The fact remains that I don't see that warning in the FNIS screenshot

The issue is not about the question of the legitimization of the game but the fact that "winny257" decided to chide me with "Rule 7" for even responding. As to investing my time elsewhere, I have to say that I can spend it doing what I please. if that is taking 30 seconds to copy and paste direct quotes from the mod page itself I don't see why I should be horrified  that I wasted those 30 seconds. I already wasted 30+ years of my life, I know I amount to nothing here already pal.

Isn't the DVD version just a copy of the Steam installer and a Steam key for the game? I don't think Skyrim was ever released as a standalone or outside of Steam, although I might be wrong. I bought a discounted key for LE back in 2018, but I could only find them for Steam, which sucks.

Guys pretty please, i open this topic to ask for some help, instead it becomes a dispute about piracy and authenticity of my game , once again i say " THE GAME HAS BEEN BROUGHT TO ME BY A FRIEND, THE PICTURE OF THE DVD IS WHAT I HAVE, I DO NOT KNOW WHERE THE DVD HAS BEEN PROVIDER TO MY FRIEND" , IT SIMPLY COME TO BE WITH DVD, WITHOUT A CASE (MAYBE HE BROUGHT FROM SOMEONE FROM MARKET OR A UNLICENSED SOURCE WHO SELL DVD`S TO SURVIVE, OR MAYBE HE STOLE FROM SOMEONE.

 

I am not here to raise arguments or to pollute the forum with threads or to argue about authenticity, i am just a simple user and i asked for a simple help for one simple software issue what doesn`t work on my game properly, and before to ask here it was working (if i knew is not possible at all i won`t waste others users time asking here, but it was working, the only thing that brought me to that issue was i uninstall the game because i use at the beginning Vortex to install mods, then i find out about MO which to me looks much more easy to use)

 

So i decided instead of having a mess with Vortex and MO (all the issues were when i install MO and it dhows me all the mods i already install with Vortex as Unmanageable....so i rather to erase the game and make a clean install) to use only MO. By watching so many videos about how to correctly install MO i just got confused and lost in all New Folders i have created prior installation to give paths to MO.

 

At this moment the game run fine, and the mods i installed also works as intended and in top of that FNIS is working.

P.S. I will see how i can do to close the thread or maybe to ask to be deleted, if i will not be able to delete this thread myself.
