WW Relationship & Sex Config

Hi,

I am not satisfied with my current WW settings. Having sex is way too easy and I would like to play with the standard Sims 4 relationship and sex settings. Now I have already changed a lot inside the WW settings and don't know the standard Sims 4 settings. It would be nice if one of you could enlighten me.

There is a WW reset settings command inside one of the first WW menus along with import/export commands.

Save game afterwards and restart.

 

It may or may not help what you are trying to do though.

I set "accept sex" to zero bars.  The only frustrating thing I found was that the base Sims have very odd proclivities when it comes to their sexuality.  A hetero married couple could both actually be gay (or vice versa) and you need to dig deep into the MCCC menus to fix it.

 

If you bought the 3000 point "sexually alluring" trait, then you don't get turned down very often.

 Yea I thought about it but I changed a lot and the WW config is quiet confusing for me. Maybe I will just make a backup and go for it.

Do the sims engage in any sex if you put the bar to zero? I didn't buy the trait.

Just use the export feature in the same menu before resetting.

There's 2 settings you can look at. 

 

One is to turn off their autonomy settings, then they won't have sex at all unless you tell them to.  This is a checkbox, yes or no.

 

Right under that are "autonomy presets" if you don't feel like fiddling with numbers.  I haven't tried those though, I just tweak the numbers directly to my liking.

 

The other is under cheats, and with zero bars, even with autonomy turned on, its very narrow what circumstances they'll accept and do it - about as often and with the same restrictions as regular vanilla Sims 4 Woohoo.  They will still get down and dirty though, just generally only with long term partners.

 

If you really want to get advanced, you can start messing with the various threshold numbers for how often they ask and how far away they'll go looking for it.

I was facing a similar situation recently for the same reason. What I ended up doing was setting my WW settings to their default values and just playing with that. I tweaked just a couple of very minor things as I went along but it made a huge difference in my gameplay. Try to avoid the "Unique Appearance" trait as that trait puts things into super-easy-do-anybody mode.

 

Honestly, that's the best suggestion I can make: reset all your settings to default and play with it for a bit.

Just want to say, that I do agree, making Sims have sex is way too easy, but that's because I care to follow the game logic in how relationships work and progress. The game seems easy simply because it's made to be played fast, but of course that's not to everybody's taste. I am planning on continuing work with relationships content, allowing users to switch how that progression occurs, slowing things down and making relationship require a little more social investment. That's how I'm mostly playing, limiting relationships to a few Sims I care about, so having it changed is something I would like to see. It doesn't mean I'm completely confident how to achieve this without ruining the game but it is something I would like to do at some point.

Maybe you could start with a new, simple menu with toggles for what relationship level a Sim needs to be in before they accept sex? That way some Sims could be easy for strangers, some could need a ring on it before they have sex, and the player could set global defaults. Leave it to player discretion how hard it is for Sims to have sex, and all.
