RAIRAIRAIhehe Posted August 3, 2020 Posted August 3, 2020 I'm sure this has been asked before because I've seen threads about this, but none of the presented solutions have really been helpful for me. I'm trying to use Deviously Cursed Loot and Devious Devices, but I need to build them in BodySlide so they aren't invisible in game. Now the problem I'm having is that the outfits the tabs in BodySlide to the top left should reveal don't show up for me. I've tried to isolate the mods before, to no avail. What could be the issue here? I'll give additional info on request. Thanks!
Dorabella Posted August 3, 2020 Posted August 3, 2020 If I understand correctly, you have Bodyslide files, but can't find them when you need to edit them? Check in Skyrim Data Folder, that there are not two Caliente Tools folders, this would explain the problem
RAIRAIRAIhehe Posted August 3, 2020 Author Posted August 3, 2020 There's one CalienteTools folder in there. :s Edit: The problem is that I have DD installed, but BodySlide doesn't show the Outfits in the Preset dropdown menu.

Extract the zip, take the Caliente Tools folder, and copy/drop into the Skyrim data folder . It could also be a Preset problem, if it does not coincide with the Outfit, you will not find it . First of all check that it is the correct one (UNP, UUNP, CBBE Etc), select the preset first, then the outfit
RAIRAIRAIhehe Posted August 3, 2020 Author Posted August 3, 2020 There's no CalienteTools folder in there.. >.< I'm trying to reinstall all the DD mods right now, and as you said BodySlide manually, but I have no clue how to do that. There's just a bunch of these folders in there..
Tlam99 Posted August 3, 2020 Posted August 3, 2020 bs has a problem with subdirectories. I posted this already here, there is a patch for this. For me all problems with bs are gone. I post the link again, quite sure this solves your problem. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/37830 there are a couple of things you should observe, read the posts on this side. like path settings use / instead preset \ etc. I attach my ini, you need to modify for your path settings then.... config.json

RAIRAIRAIhehe Posted August 3, 2020 Author Posted August 3, 2020 By the way. I'm using Vortex, and have a BUNCH of mods installed. Sadly there are some file conflicts that I cannot resolve, but which do not interfere with the game, which is why I can't really launch BS from the folder. Do I have to start BodySlide from the Launcher, or can I just run the executable in the folder..?

RAIRAIRAIhehe Posted August 3, 2020 Author Posted August 3, 2020 Alright, I tried using the Outfit Saver now, but it doesn't really seem to work.. I'm pretty sure it's because I don't really know where to put the output path in the config.json... Is it supposed to be ...\Vortex Mods\CalienteTools\BodySlide\SliderSets ? Edit: Doesn't work as in, the Outfit Saver seems to read all the assets perfectly, but BodySlide still fails to do so, even after using the program..
RAIRAIRAIhehe Posted August 3, 2020 Author Posted August 3, 2020 Ugh.. For some reason Outfit Saver throws the outfits into a Vortex Mods folder on the wrong drive with only a CalienteTools folder inside of it.. The correct folder with all the mods in it does not have a CalienteTools folder.. How can I fix this..?

RAIRAIRAIhehe Posted August 3, 2020 Author Posted August 3, 2020 I think I know where it's supposed to go, and I'm trying to change the config.json of Outfit Saver to set the output directory to that, but it ignores the config.json and chooses the wrong folder..
RAIRAIRAIhehe Posted August 3, 2020 Author Posted August 3, 2020 Jesus H. Christ, I've managed to fix it. For anyone who might ever encounter this: I fixed the problem by letting Outfit Saver do its thing, and then I manually copied the Vortex Mods/CalienteTools from the wrong drive into the BodySlide CalienteTools folder in the correct Vortex Mods folder. Thank you guys! Kings, y'all.

It is difficult for me, as I use MO ahnd never used Vortex how all this is handled there, also I have BS and outfitsaver integrated in MO. so I can easily put all those files in my load order. The problem for you is that BS does not point to your mods folder so you must use the output file have overrride the bs slider setting. Fine this post is obsolete than
RAIRAIRAIhehe Posted August 3, 2020 Author Posted August 3, 2020 Ugh, nevermind. I managed to batch build, but the stuff is invisible anyways.. I'll report back when I've fixed this..
donttouchmethere Posted August 3, 2020 Posted August 3, 2020 I might just not correctly understand the issue here, but if you use vortex doesn't DD and DCL show a FOMOD and guides you thru the installation if you install via vortex? Also isn't it a bad idea to install directly into skyrim/data if you use vortex? You don't see a calientetools folder in the mod zip, because it is meant to be installed via FOMOD. The files you need would be the folders named after the body type you use + the files in. Same goes for the installation of BodySlide and OutfitStudio. It comes with a FOMOD and would ask you what body type you want to install. And you would need to start BS from Vortex too, if I understand it correct vortex does a virtual installation and your mod files don't end up in skyrim data. Are you doing a manual installation, because you are new to vortex and you don't know how it works?
RAIRAIRAIhehe Posted August 3, 2020 Author Posted August 3, 2020 I'm just really confused at this point. E: I'm going to look for each and every single .nif file now, create the corresponding folders and move them inside manually.. Hopefully that does the trick. E: It did. My goodness, the miles I walk for such nonsense

In your screen, the mods are loaded into the Vortex folder( for Example Vortex Mods\Skyrim\Bodyslide ) , why ? Why make him make a separate folder, when just install the mods in the Skyrim data folder? Personally, I install my mods in the Skyrim Data folder, thus having the guarantee that they will be loaded

I use mod organzier, could i move the mod directory directly into the skyrim folder? Could that help?

Installation on the desktop does not seem very appropriate to me . this is probably the cause of the absent mods where they should be In order to be found, files destined for Bodyslide need 2 factors 1) Compatibility with physical structure (CBBE, UUNP, BHUNP and more) . 2) The projects needed for the remodeling must be located in the Bodyslide folders
