jhines077 Posted August 2, 2020 Posted August 2, 2020 Hello all, I've finally resorted to posting for assistance here, as I've spent literal days trying to troubleshoot my issues. After what seemed like a stable run, my game started to CTD again and now it will CTD on any game load, even after starting a brand new game. For reference, I am able to start a new game and create a character, but as soon as I try to load it from any point it will crash without fail. I have all the CTD assistance mods (probably overkill, knowing some are obsolete), including CTD load fix, safety load, crash fixes, animation limit load crash and continue game no crash. Please assist, I've spent so many hours trying to figure this out, performing research all over the web, reading various posts here and on nexusmods and I can't get a stable load for the life of me. My computer is basically brand new and I thought I had tweaked my settings in all applicable .inis accordingly. LatencyRemix Posted August 2, 2020 Posted August 2, 2020 try doing coc qasmoke from the menu before trying to load a game, some times i can use contine from the menu but mostly just wind up crashing a few seconds later.

If you have to do that then there is something fundamentally wrong with your game. Much more sensible to find and fix the problem.

I've gone through each of these steps and reinstalled the tools/mods listed that I already have (crash fixes, plugin preloader, ENBoost, Bethini, Load Game CTD Fix), and removed the obsolete files as suggested. I also went through the blog posted and followed the steps at all applicable stages of setup. However, I'm still getting the same instant CTD upon load of any saved game (even a freshly created game/character). The mod you questioned is an NPC makeover mod that changes the faces of the NPCs. Thanks again!

Before I debug it any further to find exactly where (this information isn't available in the dump, I would need to attach the debugger to my game), could you tell me which version of Crash Fixes are you running and attach your CrashFixPlugin.ini?

Guest Posted August 3, 2020 Posted August 3, 2020 This might be unrelated to your crash, but my game got unstable if I used the following mods: Evil Lair of Hydra.esm, if that is the one from Nexus, if often caused CTD or lag UndergroundBathhouse.esm, if I combined the UB ZAP support cellar and NPC invite option with PAHE. NPC got often stuck in UB cellar or PAHE slaves got attacked by the guards. Milker Movil Armor.esp, if it isn't installed right you get CTD from missing meshes or at least that's how I explained it to myself if it didn't work. And this doesn't look right: I would move Cloaks.esp above Cloaks - Dawnguard.esp XPMSE.esp and FNIS need to be above MNC SLAL dcc-dm2.esp, I would move it above all PAHE related esp, but it might only make problems if you also have AYGAS installed if it's in the wrong spot in LO All those dancing and SLAL mods add a lot of animations, are you using FNIS XXL to compensate for that? Do you get warnings in FNIS? About the saves: You could check if they get saved right. Should be always a *.ess and a *.skse file. If the ess save file is extraordinarily huge in size it points at a conflict in your LO. If the SKSE file ends with *.temp it didn't got saved right. You can open your save with FallrimTools and check if it throws out errors already.
