Guest Posted July 25, 2020 Posted July 25, 2020 when i press ctrl + click and assign the armour(s) that i want to my MO2 overwrite folder it appears as an error. https://prnt.sc/tokjon I've given admin permission to both of my bodyslide and MO2 but it seems to still create problems...
Just Don't Posted July 26, 2020 Posted July 26, 2020 Does it also throw that error if you change the output folder to somewhere else other than your Overwrite? Does every set gives that error if you try to build them into Overwrite? or just these ones and others can be built fine? Any reason to want to build everything in Overwrite? Any reason to have MO2 in AppData? Last 2 questions are curiousness mainly.
Guest Posted July 26, 2020 Posted July 26, 2020 I'm currently using only 3 types of armour since I'm testing stuff and no, wherever I try to output the nif files it just won't work and I'm building it in overwrite because that's where I want them to be, tho I tried in the documents as well but it still doesn't work. As for the appdata, that's the safest place since windows will be deleting/doing all sort of weird stuff if I had put it anywhere else.

Why don't you test it first? perhaps it has nothing to do with the location and it's just that these sets have an issue. 5 hours ago, ARealChivalry said: As for the appdata, that's the safest place since windows will be deleting/doing all sort of weird stuff if I had put it anywhere else. Source of that information? How often does you computer do weird stuff like that? I've been using MO/Skyrim for years now, never had any issue for having MO outside of Appdata. The only consideration that is worth mention is keeping MO and every other mod related software outside of Program Files and outside of your game folder, apart from that there isn't anything documented.

I just tested other outfits and it seems that they don't work as well. As for the appdata info, MO2 automatically installs there and there's a reason for that (because it's supposed to not give you any problems) but I could try moving everything outside from the appdata but I don't know where.
Just Don't Posted July 26, 2020 Posted July 26, 2020 It clearly is giving you some sort of trouble, or something else is. I always pick portable instance, put it in my D:\ drive and never had issues with Windows permission or folder access. So that might be the default install location if you pick other install method other than portable (which I never do, so I don't know what to expect). And other tools are working fine? LOOT, FNIS, xEdit, etc.
Andy14 Posted July 26, 2020 Posted July 26, 2020 CTRL + Click (Click is build, right?) The nifs should be created in the working directory - i.e. in the BodySlide folder. No matter whether BodySlide is started directly or via Mod Manager. Where is your BodySlide.exe and how do you start BodySlide?
