Stuck animation and stuck dialogue

Ok, I am observing two problems at the moment. First, even when a restraint is removed, the restrained animation persists - the PC will walk with her hands up if she previously was in a yoke, or with her hands behind her back if tied up. Even having other animations play in between, such as sex scenes will not interrupt that.

 

Secondly, when the PC is naked, other characters will walk up to her saying "Here I've got some clothes that will be sure to cover you up". The problem is that from then on, they will not say anything else anymore - even when the character is dressed again! This is especially problematic when that NPC is a follower, as it basically requires going back to a previous save.

Looking at your LO I would say:

Bad mix (even hurts a little) of old and new mods.

Lots of possible conflicts with DDi

You sure this combination works?

Can't see the version numbers.

 

I guess you try to get ZazExtension pack running?

The LO doesn't look right with HR below everything.

 

Doing such experiments I also would move DDa,i,x down so they don't get overruled in LO by the ZAP experiment.

Are you also using old DD versions?

Seems you also use the old MNC version => won't effect DD, but you are better off with MNC SLAL

If you try an retro setup they might conflict.

 

Remember that DDi is now disconnected from ZAP.

xpmse should overwrite sos, not the other way around

 

I go with the rule, nothing overwrites your skeleton

I get that the restrained issue with a slave mod sometimes after I restrain them. The quick fix is just to restrain them again and release.  I've also had an issue w/ maybe DD where I get the hobbled animation even after unrestraining. In that instance, the fix was doing a show inventory on the NPC , finding the item in their inventory and removing it.

Left side in MO ?

Alternative: Don't install the SOS skeleton with the SOS FOMOD

my xpmse overwrites MNC, no problems. Not saying your wrong, I might have something in LO that allows me to, idk 

I don't use ABC,so again, idk

From my experience, if the files get overwritten (not LO) you can be a bit sloppier in LO.

I really need to learn the right names for Skyrim modding processes ?

With newer version of MNC or if using ABC you should overwrite skeleton. 

 

I don't use those mods myself, but I just had an informed individual^^^ clear it up for me. So Pickles is correct on that one.

I'm not "trying" anything, went back to a profile I didn't use in a while and installed some newer mods that sounded interesting but didn't necessarily go through every single mod installed to check for updates. May also be that I have some things in there that were originally required for other things I removed in the meantime. Any help sorting things out is appreciated.

AH! That explains it.

Well, some ppl like it retro, like staying with an old ZAP or DDi version for compatibility or because they like the older versions better.

I'm just surprised that you are surprised that you get glitches if you don't update frameworks while adding newer mods.

 

Best approach would be to update the framework mods like ZAP and DD. After that go thru your mods and check for updates.

To me it looks like you worked on that LO the last time about 2 or 3 years ago, before adding completely new mods now.

It's hard to help without seeing the mod versions. Also some of the older mods that relay on older DDi / ZAP versions might not work correctly anymore after updating the frameworks. Some mods like POP have new requirements now.

What hits the hardest is that DDi and ZAP are now separated and DDi has a new tag "heavy_bondage".

This in turn makes older mods that didn't get updated to newer DDi versions incompatible with newer mods that need the newest DDi.

That's why you need to decide for yourself if you want to update to newer mods or keep playing the old ones.

With MO you can have multiple profiles, so you could theoretically just start a new LO in a new Profile and keep the old mod combination.

By any chance, did anyone find a solution to this issue? 
I'm having the same problem (dialogue prevents follower dialogue), and I tried to figure out which mod was causing it - but a google-search showed this thread as the *only* useful result, so I'm not sure how to get NPCs functioning again.

Just switch off the animations there dialogue blocker and break animations
