landess Posted July 23, 2020 Posted July 23, 2020 While the title says it all, IF anyone ever played the Sims 2 - when a sim used the telescope during daylight hours, it was almost guaranteed another neighbor would 'burst' into the house and confront the 'peeping' sim angrily. (since stargazing isn't possible during the day - what else could they have been doing?) While this fun 'mechanic' is no longer with us as Sims 3 users, every time I see a telescope being used during the day, I'm reminded of it and thought if a modified 'solo woohoo' animation was added to this class of objects, it would be 'only natural'. Peeping through windows 'can' have a solo woohoo animation, but many homes have a foundation, which denies this feature from being activated. Just a thought, and hope...... >>> If the sims 4 ends up with this idea being implemented - you're welcome!

The Telescope becomes recognized by KW, so there can be made some animations for the telescope. Will try to have some in a next update. But need time......
landess Posted July 25, 2020 Author Posted July 25, 2020 Hey Clydie, thanks for looking into it. I know you have success in adapting existing animations and any of the standing solo woohoo animations would seem to only need some tweaking in upper body/head position - but what do I know? At 8:40 you can see the event from being 'peeped on' by daytime telescope use in the Sims 2 - I wanted a shorter video dedicated to this short event, but it seems most all are obsessed with yet 'another' abduction video.

As stated earlier, it was a start to get a fast result. But now, it is faster (and easier) to create new animations. Only the basic arrangement what fit best is used that you do not have to invent the wheel again and again with the basic rigs. Think every animator does this that way. My point was more, that KW recognize the telescope as usable object for animations. I.e. the picnic table and others KW does not allow. That is a point where I do not look through. There must be a hard coded object list or something inside KW dll I think......
