Interacting bug

So when i go to interact with certain objects (Chairs of all sorts, enchanting/alchemy tables + smithing stations) no interact option appears, as in usually the game would show ' "E" Enchanting Table"' yet nothing appears as if it is not supposed to be interacted with. Yet certain things like beds, containers and quests interactions like filling the ewer in dawnguard work fine

this bug has been with my save for a few hours, so if i revert back to a save 10+ hours ago the bug doesn't exist. I'd rather not have to re-do the last 10 hours of progress, so any ideas would be great. This may well be due to mods scripts or something, I've already tried cleaning the save with Savetool with no success.

 

I had been using SD+ which i uninstalled around the time so maybe something wasn't cleaned up from then

The only thing I have experienced like that came from the beloved(by me) sexlife mod. Basiclly on my end sexlife atleast use to, get me sideways when I did not have mcm menu for that mod set up to where player was excluded from the dialogue. Npcs would approach my char and there is no dialogue to respond with and for reasons above my paygrade that would throw off the ability to interact with certain furnitures. I would have to engage with some form of dialogue with npc that had approached me to get me free from them, now I just keep mcm set up to have player excluded. I don't recall basic chairs getting borked, but I never sit in game.

 

Can you access a window/inventory when conversing with vendors? Loot dead bodies?Guessing your problem is window/menu related. Maybe something messing with your skyui

 

have you uninstalled stuff lately, in your current game?

You should clean your save after deactivating a mod.
Scripts, magic effects etc. are not automatically removed from the save when the mod is deactivated.

If cleaning the save doesn't help try in the console:
player.kill or player.resurrect
