Recommend me Futuristic Stuff

Recommended Posts

This isn't particularly specific.  I'm looking to make my Skyrim experience a little more sci-fi.  I am looking for any futuristic homes or overhauls (especially with custom textures rather than dwemer stuff), CBBE HDT female armors with a futuristic touch (sexy ones are fine as are non-sexy ones), Sci-fi weapons (I already have magicka sabers and such), just looking for generally cool sci-fi mods.

I play LE, use a CBBE body, MO2 if it matters, and that's about all I can think of atm that might be relevant.

If you are aware of my post

you should be able to use this https://www.rektasmarket.com/post/warframe-armor-pack

(the LE original from Tesnexus is not available any more)

The black male Armor of this  https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/102774

this catana https://kp4068.tistory.com/3861

and perhaps https://ameblo.jp/firone/entry-12597498795.html

Will the SE version work or will I need to create a port?  Because I've never done so before.

No the SE version will not work, but the work you have to do is so easy that you will have done it in less than ten minutes. The esp will work, but you have to backport the meshes and parts of the textures. Everybody is able to do so, even the greatest noob.  Follow the instructions:

"Download the armor pack and this https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/23316

Install Cathedral Assets Optimizer  by extracting  to a seperate folder. Extract the armor pack to a seperate folder.  Start the Cathedral program exe, choose "Tes5" under "Profile" and under "open directory" navigate to the folder, where you extracted your armor pack. Chose folder meshes and chose the for meshes (full optimisation) in Cathedral Assets Optimizer. Run the program. It will need only a few seconds. You can see under "log" how it works but that is only interesting if you backport more than 100 meshes.  Do the same for textures. Chose "necessary optimisation", "compress textures" and "generate mipmaps" Run the program. Repack your Follower with the esp and install it with a modmanager of your choice. There is a little error in the heather of the esp (44 for SSE and not 42 for LE, but that doesn't matter) but the armor pack will work."

Awesome!  And this will work for any armor mod?  I've had my eye on another.

Yes it will work for every armor pack.

Sometimes you will have to unpack a BA2 pack, if the armor is packed in one or two BSA files. But with the right tool https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/1756 it is done in a few seconds.

I have a question.  One of the armors I want to backport has a requirement that's an SE only mod.  There is an LE mod that performs the same function, but it isn't from the same person.  It's two different Heel mods for the feet parts.  How could I remove the SE version during the backport process?  I know how to add it via TesEdit, but how can I safetly remove it?

First you have to remove all dependencies IN the ESP.

Then with CK:

Start CK, activate your ESP -> The master files are displayed on the right.

With CTRL + Del in the right window you can delete the ESM / ESP as master file.

Then load your Mod.esp with CK and save it. Finished.

How do I do this step?  Can that also be done in CK or TesEdit?

What body type is the Mass Effect one?

I don't really play males but the dishonored one is very cool.

Yes, with either CK or TESEdit.

Hey I'm attempting to do a test run backport but I've encountered a problem.  I'm trying to do a backport of this armor (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/23108) but when I try to unpack the BSA, there's no textures in it at all.  I know the outfit has to have textures, so I'm very confused.  Can you maybe take a look at the armor and see what I'm doing wrong?

Also, do I have to do anything to backport the bodyslide files or am I just backporting meshes and textures?

I also don't know what to do about the "Lazytools" and "Racemenu Heels" requirements.  I don't see any trace of those things in XEdit so i don't see how to remove them.

EDIT:  There must be a lot more to this process that you either didn't mention or assumed I would know. Which is honestly very flattering. But sadly I am not very skilled. Even after I found some textures (there was a 2k set availible for download) nothing about this conversion process has worked so far.  It didn't creash the game but my character's lower body just became a large red triangle.  Nothing was converted, neither texture nor mesh.

Your original question was how to remove dependency on a mod.
I have described that. And I have not written that XEdit is suitable for this or that XEdit shows you what you have to do.
TESVEdit or XEdit are good for little things, not for proper modding.

I wrote about CK (Creation Kit).

So now slowly from the beginning. What mod do you have? Which dependency do you want to delete and why?

I think it is the HDT high heel dependency  that didn't work in SSE. So you have tho remove it and add HDT Skyrim SE. The point is, I only know how to do this in Wyhre bash. There is a window on the right bottom to change masterfiles.

First it has nothing to do with the meshes and textures. It is a skripted spell that is ported through the dependency from the HDT high heels esm to the mod and without the spell the feet are digging in the ground.

For Grimm Wednesdy Addams I can help a little http://www.mediafire.com/file/y6zb48f37efgc3j/GRIM_Wednesday_Addams_UUNP.7z/file

It's for LE but it is UUNP. You can use the esp with (High heels support) and the textures. You only have to backport the CBBE meshes.

I may have mixed this thread up with another one.  My apologies.

I see.  Unfortunately Wyre Bash stopped working on my computer.  I kept getting an error even just trying to start it up.  I've been using another tool for bash patches and such until I can figure out what's causing the error.  I'm lead to believe it has something to do with Windows settings.

I actually know how to remove HDT high heel dependency.  The problem is the high heel mod used by the above didn't show in TesEdit at all.  I only saw the outfit, none of the high heel spells/enchants, no master fiiles, etc.  Very unusual.
