Animating specifically for Sexlab SE

I have been using Skyrim SE for a while now and have had much luck with it--in terms of finding and installing mods. But now, I'm more interested in making mods myself than just finding and installing them. However, this has been very difficult as it seems the vast majority of comprehensive guides for specific things, such as animating in sexlab, are for the LE version and not SE. I was wondering if anyone here knows where I can find a good guide, not for animating itself, but the detailed process required for creating Sexlab-specific animations that work for the SE version of the game.

If possible, I'm also interested in editing existing sexlab animations, though I've read that this process involves converting .hkx to some other format (.kf I believe) before importing and editing. Is this process possible only with vanilla animations? Or can it be done to existing custom animations as well (such as billyy's animations)?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I think everybody is still doing them on older versions  of 3dsmax, maya and blender because tools you need to properly import/export stuff (meshes, rigs, animdata,...) were not updated for later or latest versions of 3d software, as for SSE goes .hkx files are just converted to it. You could edit existing anims and again you need all those tools and correct version of 3d software...

There are guides how to set everything up which i guess you already know , afaik thats the only way.

So the hkx conversion to kf to import custom animations (such as billyy's animations) into an animation software such as blender or 3dsmax will work?
I guess I'll just have to try it myself, but I was under the impression that the hkx conversion only worked for vanilla skyrim animations (such as poses). Unless there's more than one tool out there that will do the trick that I don't know of. If it will work then I'll just use those as a template and reverse learn everything that way without reading a guide until I have to.

But if you're saying that the animating guides that exist for LE will also work for SE then that's great. I'm going to have to give it a shot and I'll be back when I know.
