Turns out it appears to be the creeping mist. I thought it was additional part for the exaelus or whatever but that is what was making things freaky.

 

Edit: deleted it. Between the insane buffs, changed rewards, and increased stress and horror damage, the mod adds +1 minute on my load time. I simply hated it. It's not fun or rewarding to fight a normal monster that can cause affliction on your entire pt in 3 turns and be impossible to hit.

the mod is somewhat challenging, but there are certain mods that you can use to have some balance ...

Hey Dan, how to you get the extra palettes to load correctly? Fairly sure it has somehing to do with the modifies.txt file, but I'm not sure what the number sequences at the end of each line refer to. Or is trying to load the extras through workshop the wrong way to do it?

the correct way would be through the workshop (that sequence of numbers is generated there), and thus generate a new modfiles with the new files; It would be tedious for me to do that for all my modifications so the simplest is remove the modfiles (requirement  if you want  to use my modifications), when that file is removed you can add anything to any mod

When the first thing you fight is 4 monsters with that, and the next battle also has monsters with that, but better, it's not challange anymore, it's manufactured dificulty.

Don't get me wrong, i killed all of them and nobody even lost half hp (hence why i like challanges), but everyone had 70+ stress by the end of the second fight and probably me too. I looked at the files and it was supposed to be 3% chance for each buff, but it felt like 3% chance of not happening so it could be an issue on my end. Either way, any monster with high hp, high prot and high dodge should not exist, it's bad for the player and the game, that is why you don't actually need to kill Shrieker to get rewards, and fighting multiple of those is even worse.

 

Also, when i say i looked at the files i mean i tried changing them too, but it didn't work.

Got it thanks. Appararently the modifies file had to be removed for steam to recognize the changes and upload a new modifies.txt file. It's working now.

Guys I have the nuir highwayman skin, when I load a new game even with no mods on I get the white box skin error on my highwayman, crusdaer works though.

Anyone know whats going on? Is the nuir highwayman skin outdated or is something else?

niur skins work with original animation files (.atlas / .skel in anim folder) make sure these files are not modified by another mod

Hi Dan, I just went through what you said and replaced whatever was in the anim folder with an anim folder from the original highwayman, and the problem was completely fixed!

Hello Dan. Amazing work on all your edits and mods! I would like to ask if you do commissions? If so can I request a commission for the Dryad Class Mod? She is a amazing class that feels really well balanced without being too op imo, but same time she doesn't exactly fit the other skin mods I've been using.

I do not accept commissions, very apart I am not an artist / illustrator; so creating something new is not in my possibilities.

Renamed and packaged all of Dan's Xelsword palettes (except Dancer/Shieldbreaker) for use with Xelsword's standalone mods. Saw others having issues with this and it's pretty quick work for me with Bulk Rename Utility.
