Fenrir_Duskshade Posted June 8, 2020 Posted June 8, 2020 Either I overloaded my frickin' game with too many frickin' mods or I had gone done buggered some frickin' thing up, but I cannot seem to figure out the issue because I am frickin' dumdum as usual. Basically, while I was doing jobs for Tully Headhunting, my game started randomly crashing down and I cannot figure out why is that. And those crashes seem to be completely random, they are in random places and in random intervals. They can happen while in combat, while passing between interior/exterior or just while I am plain old standing around doing nothing at all. I suspected CASM since that was the last mod I installed, but they kept on happening after I disabled it. Then I suspected Nevada Skies because I reinstalled it due to weather not changing, but disabling it did not help either. Now did I do any weird things in my game? Well James Garret seems to have caught some sorta sleeping sickness and he refuses to talk to me, and I have a group of companions locked up in my Winnebago (portable home mod) - maybe it crashes due to them getting tired of me leaving them to wait there and trying to leave? I do not find that likely. Anyway, I also updated my Radeon software and drivers, but I sure as hell hope that ain't it, I am going to try if a clean unmodded game crashes, now that I think of it. But in any case, here is my mod list. Anyone who is wise enough to help me I am entirely grateful. Also remeber, almost all of those were running fine until last weekend. Guest Posted June 9, 2020 Posted June 9, 2020 Don't see anything odd with that LO. You don't have merged conflict resolution patch but that shouldn't have an affect to that degree. Post some of your separate NVAC logs that get generated when randomly crashing.

Guest Posted June 9, 2020 Posted June 9, 2020 Do you have the 4GB patch installed correctly? Type GetisLAA in the console it should return either 0 1 or 2 very preferably 2. If* it returns 2 you might have a bad texture somewhere or your using too many really high res textures and the game is not able to keep up. If it returns 0 or 1 you don't have the game 4GB enabled.
dongding Posted June 9, 2020 Posted June 9, 2020 Get TickFix, you're crashing because you get the OOM error: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/66537

Hmm I get 2, what should I do? Maybe try deactivating one of the texture packs? 13 minutes ago, dongding said: Get TickFix, you're crashing because you get the OOM error: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/66537 Thanks, I tried but I get the following error: You have one or more script extender plugins which failed to load! Spoiler If you want this notification to go away, here are some steps you can take: • Look for updates to the mod or the specific plugin included in the mod. • Disable the mod containing the plugin. • Hide or delete the plugin from the mod. To refresh the script extender logs, you will need to run the game and/or editor again! The failed plugins are: • NVAC - New Vegas Anti Crash version 117768192 (nvac.dll, NVAC - New Vegas Anti Crash) reported as incompatible during query.
Guest Posted June 9, 2020 Posted June 9, 2020 Are you using Windows 10 and MO2? NVAC shouldn't be returning as a failed plugin and NVTF shouldn't be causing that. I'd take all NVSE plugins and any relevant files pertaining to them and place them directly in the game data folder and not in the Virtual file manager for runtime. And see if you can load the game world up without issue. If NVAC is returning a log it should be working. I recommend the latest versions of NVTF especially if windows 10, the Mod Limit Fix, the new XNVSE fork from the GitHub (it has been updated) & JIP NVSE. As far as the actual error pertains I don't know what res your texture packs are and what you game hardware specs are but I don't recommend playing with higher than 2K. 4K can be enabled case by case for screenies. Again you could have a bad texture somewhere and could disable texture replacers one by one and see but I think your game can't handle it's modded state and the memory needed and the second it caps boom random crashes.
dborg2 Posted June 10, 2020 Posted June 10, 2020 Perhaps a silly comment from me, but is your fallout installation in a subdirectory of c:\program files, or c:\program files(x86)? If so, can you move it to a location outside of those 2 sub directories and try again?

No I don't, I have it under D:/Games but thanks anyways. 21 hours ago, aghjax said: Are you using Windows 10 and MO2? Windows 7 and MO2 here, actually. NVSE plugins are directly in the game directory in DATA/NVSE subfolder. NVSE is up to date. But I will check the XNVSE and Mod Limit fix. I tried disabling the biggest texture pack I have and I got some extra time before game crashes, but I still suspect, maybe it is my companions trying to leave my mobile home? I mean, it never happened when they were travelling with me, and it is only after they were locked in there for a few days that it started happening. Also another update: I realized it was my new game that the log I posted from before. That one only crashes on entering/leaving a cell. dongding Posted June 10, 2020 Posted June 10, 2020 You definitely should post that log at the official NVAC Nexus page. There are some middle out of nowhere exceptions here, and there is even a letter code I have never heard of (not even mentioned on the official nexus page). Looks really fishy.
Fenrir_Duskshade Posted June 10, 2020 Author Posted June 10, 2020 Okay, you guys really won't friggin' believe this. I have found the reason for those random crashes - my theory was right after all! IT WAS MY COMPANIONS THAT WERE TOLD TO WAIT IN MY MOBILE HOME Like, I tried to pull them out of there to see if something would happen, and the game ran normally for an hour. Then I got a crash while riding on the motorcycle from J3Xifixied driveable motorcycle mod when it froze, but that used to happen even before. I will play more to see if anything else goes bork, but the game appears to be back to normal... well as normal as a heavily modded New Vegas can be. So words of advice - do not leave your companions locked inside a mobile home. They get sad and lonely and crash your game as a form of vengeance
