SIM_A_4 Posted June 6, 2020 Posted June 6, 2020 This message come up every time I start the Sims and go into my household. I definitely am playing The Sims 4 32 bit legacy edition (see top left corner of screen shot) The WW mod is in the legacy edition mod folder. Do I or don't I need to reinstall the regular version of WW? If not, how do I get this message to stop showing up? It's giving me anxiety...?

TURBODRIVER Posted June 6, 2020 Posted June 6, 2020 Go to your Sims 4 Documents folder and delete a file called 'GameVersion.txt'. Some legacy users will have to do that since your legacy version copies content from the regular version but leaves this file with the wrong version indicator.

Thank you Just to clarify: There is a version of that document in both the Sims 4 Document Folder and the Sims 4 Legacy Edition Document Folder. katie28 Posted June 10, 2020 Posted June 10, 2020 i have a question actually not sure if you would know the solution but i recently updated the wicked whims and for some reason the murphy bed for tiny living is not working just has the wicked and settings option nothing else not sure if it's the update or something else because it was usable before i updated yesterday and then it wasn't after

S'il vous plais pouvez-vous m'aidez ? merci

That bed has has some problems in the past and at one time WW had it disable for sex. You can also shift+click on the bed and use Wicked... Disable bed for sex option. Deleting the bed and placing a new one might also fix it.
SIM_A_4 Posted June 12, 2020 Author Posted June 12, 2020 UPDATE Deleting the version.text file worked for like the first 2x I played afterwards, but then i got a game update and now that God forsaken message shows up every time I play, even after deleting the Gameversion.text file, online thumbnailcache, and wickedwhimsinfolog & restarting PC and going into the Sims every time I attempt to play. I know it's minor and I should be able to just play on as it doesn't seem to be causing a problem, but that's just not how my brain wants to work right now and I've been obsessing over getting rid of the message instead of playing. Any other thoughts on a long term solution. Thank you for your understanding and I appreciate all the help everyone just FYI. the gameversion.text file no longer appears in the Sims 4 folder in documents, but keeps popping back up in the Sims 4 Legacy edition folder. don't know if that helps or not
pheonix994 Posted June 23, 2020 Posted June 23, 2020 I'm having the same issue. I have the LE but it continues to show this error message. I have removed all of the items in the messages above and still it is showing up. Does anyone else have any suggestions? Should I just message Turbodriver directly?

kaylalynnehatch1397 Posted April 2, 2021 Posted April 2, 2021 I’ve had whicked whims for forever. Updated to whicked whims legacy edition and it will not come up Uber script mods. But my sims are fully nude and what not so I know I have a version of the mod. Is the legacy version not the same? Do I have to down load custom cc to get the same affects as the regular version of whicked whims?
