blue8899 Posted May 26, 2020 Posted May 26, 2020 Can anyone tell me why i Cant use the new downloads of the wicked whim mod. every time i download it my computer says the file is not really there, but i can download the older version of the mod.

Oops19 Posted May 26, 2020 Posted May 26, 2020 Could be a virus scanner if it detects a suspicious pattern. Skip this version, I assume it has no essential new features.

Oops19 Posted June 6, 2020 Posted June 6, 2020 Do you have some anti-virus software installed? It may report a false positive or WW could contain a virus and be removed for this reason (hopefully not the case, but one never knows).

Its likely your security settings or virus software, which has been the case for the 99% of others who also have this issue if it's not showing at all.
RUASim21 Posted June 6, 2020 Posted June 6, 2020 You will likely need to disable it and see if that will allow you to download. if not, you may need to also go into your computer's security settings as Windows has their own security as well.

RUASim21 Posted June 7, 2020 Posted June 7, 2020 The issue is definitely your computer's security. You just may need to play with your settings. Lots of people having this same issue with their computers.
Oops19 Posted June 7, 2020 Posted June 7, 2020 Can you open the folder within the explorer (native Windows zip) and copy the files from there? Or update Winrar or try another unzip utility like 7zip or WinZip?
blue8899 Posted June 7, 2020 Author Posted June 7, 2020 Nope I still can't open it! I tried to use winzip and I get this message when trying to move it or anything! I'm assuming it must be my computer... but I have no idea how change my settings.
