P1ankton Posted May 23, 2020 Posted May 23, 2020 Im sure people will be aware but for those who are not it seems that Gaming mode on Windows 10 could be causing lag or stuttering issues for some. According to the post below Microsoft have finally aknowledged the issue and are looking at an Autumn fix. https://eu.alienwarearena.com/ucf/show/1783610/boards/gaming-news/News/windows-10-game-mode-can-cause-lag-stuttering-in-games I have had this issue in occur in Sims4 but strangely not in Skyrim, turning off Gaming mode seems to have fixed the issue for me. (2 weeks testing so far) Just thought I would mention a possible issue for those that were not aware. BTW before you ask 1 Windows 10 was installed on my machine when I purchased it 2 I am too lazy to uninstall and install Win 7 3 I have not had any issues in the limited amount of games I play until now 4 Yes I am stupid 5 Please forgive me To turn off gaming mode press Win + I, choose gaming and then gaming mode and turn off.
donttouchmethere Posted May 23, 2020 Posted May 23, 2020 Thx for the hint! Isn't the Win10 gaming mode deactivated by default?

endersgame Posted May 24, 2020 Posted May 24, 2020 I was actually not aware of this. I've got a 1080TI, which seems to be particularly affected by the issue. Thanks for the heads up!
