Triratna banned...

I just heard that Triratna was banned for using copyrighted material and got surprised because it's not our business to ask where people get their stuff. I found this section in the Rules thread:

 

6) Piracy is not provided here. It's not our business where you get a
game, but you will not get help with piracy here, and helping somebody
else pirate is strictly against the rules. Keep it to yourself.

 

That's all it says. We have always allowed ripped content from games here so why should he be banned? Maybe the reason he was banned was something else or have the rules suddenly changed? However I think you should give him another chance if he still wants his account back because he has contributed a lot with mods and information. He was one of the core members here. This is not a public commercial site like the Nexus, which means we can have another level of tolerance.

Well, I haven't seen any rude or idiotic posts from him but even if he's suspected of being a pedophile(with avatars of kids and adult mods about young girls), It's still not our place to judge him unless he says that pedophilia is right, or he confesses a crime. I changed the title of this topic to avoid implying that I question the moderators.

Triratna kept pushing the limits and basically daring the Staff here to be banned in more than one post and it happened. End of Story.

Ripped armors are one thing, ripping entire models and voice files and incorporating them into an adult mod is another entirely and much MUCH more inviting of the IP holders stepping in and causing major problems for the site. The bigger problem was blatantly admitting and recommending the use of loli and sex mods together, which the rules are 100% clear about. They were literally begging for a ban and openly invited me to do so. They were warned time and time and time again not to do so. The fact that they kept doing it anyway despite the warnings is just plain self destructive and type of drama and attention I want no where near the forum.

 

But more to the point, they're not as gone as you think, triratna registered another account under a different name, and I am keeping a close on eye them to make sure they don't slip up and repeat past actions, despite my better judgement to just reinforce the ban immediately and ban the 2nd acount, there will be no 2nd chance if they repeat. And no I won't reveal what their new account is.

Well this was really a thin ice that was stepped on it seems, i still find it really cool that you give another chance to him/her Ashal, something i dont see often, especially considering the circumstances involing the bann.

Perhaps all he wanted is someone to stop him permanently?

 

We can't treat royalty like people like triratna would satisfy with normal perverted desires.

As crappy as the Nesux is, their rule "Don't like it? - Move on then!" sure has a point.

Tolerance for other people's tastes goes a long way, no matter where.

Pretty much. And it isn't as much a 2nd chance as it is a 4th or 5th chance, they were given multiple outs and chances to avoid a banning, and threw all of them back in my face.
