Cozy Posted February 20, 2013 Posted February 20, 2013 I'm in the process of installing companion mods, and I'm looking for the best possible overhauls and such that don't have very many incompatibilities. I've been eying UFO, but I'm interested in what you folks might recommend?
Cozy Posted February 20, 2013 Author Posted February 20, 2013 I use UFO. UFO And UFO caught my eye so it seems UFO it is. Thank you much.
Xarius Posted February 20, 2013 Posted February 20, 2013 UFO changes like.. every follower NPC record. Extensible Follower Framework is much better at compatibility with other mods as it doesn't really touch vanilla records.
Cozy Posted February 20, 2013 Author Posted February 20, 2013 Yeah UFO rocks, have testing out companion mods, and I'm very happy with it.
cornbreadtm Posted February 20, 2013 Posted February 20, 2013 I use EFF these days. Since I use a lot of custom followers like Alicia, Cerwiden, Vilja, Interesting NPCs you need compatibility patches for a lot of them to work with UFO so I changed. I rather like EFF its menu based so you can send commands in battle. I hated the shout commands form UFO since they didn't work on custom npcs so they still fought with my vanilla ones. and Serana is just a bitch.
nirax Posted February 20, 2013 Posted February 20, 2013 amazing follower tweaks. you can customize basically everything, manual level up, set when they transform or use magic, what spell they use with which priority, and also the random AI behavior. its pretty cool, but very extensive, imho going further than UFO

I never had a problem with UFO and compatibility patches, (Used Cere, Vilja, and interesting NPCs) although I never used the shout commands. I just let them do what they want.
s.eden Posted February 28, 2013 Posted February 28, 2013 EFF, more compatibility, then some other mods as to add idles mainly.(I do quite a lot of merging in fact)As to immersion, I liked the camp set up by follower from AFF, but since using Frostfall, the camps have quite a special function (..), so that feature is not lacking at all.
dboura Posted March 6, 2013 Posted March 6, 2013 Are there any mods that add the same shapechange features to UFO (or are compatible to UFO) that AFT has. With change at 50%, change when pc changes, or change at the beginning of combat? Was using AFT but came to a mess up when I had to change the PC's S.O. into a VL after I already turned her into a WW. So I dropped it and tried UFO but thinking about going back to AFT for that feature.

Ehhh the comparability patches are no big deal. Thus far I am find UFO to be very useful, and while I needed to download a compatability patch for Interesting NPC's and a few follower mods, I have yet to run into any major immersion breaking problems. P.S. Interesting NPC's is SOOOO awesome!
