Nothing happens!

Hello, i've recently downloaded the last version of WW and also removed some broken mods to avoid the last exception issue, when i run the game everything seems to work fine, even i get a notification of WW saying so, no more errors, but...everytime i try to use this mod and click on a sex mode (any), nothing happens. For example i click on the bed, click on sex> oral .

Nothing more happens, no windows, tabs, no animations, the sim is just staying still right there, what is the problem?

Make sure both "custom content" and "script mods" are enabled in the game settings.

Also, don't put your mod files too deep within subfolders. A path like "Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 4/Mods/WickedWhimsMod" works, anything deeper (e.g. "...Mods/WhickedWhimsMod/Animations") will not work. BTW, put your animations into an extra folder, don't mix them with WW's files.

If WW behaves oddly in any way, first make sure both the mod and your game are up to date. If updating doesn't solve your problem, try startng the game with only WW and its animations in your Mods folder (delete "localthumbcache.package" found in "Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 4" before you launch the game). Once everything works, you can put all the other files back into Mods a few at a time (remember to always delete "localthumbcache") and if the issue pops up again, you'll know it was caused by a mod from the last bunch, which makes tracking down the culprit a lot easier. The files that give you trouble should then either be updated or deleted.

Thank you! The mod works perfectly now, it was a mod i downloaded which contained animations to prepare new custom food, so i removed it (even though the food mod worked well by itself)

The best way in such cases is always to test all of your mods (because that way you will definitely find all mods that cause issues).

Since I don't like quoting myself: See my previous post in this thread for details on how to do that ?

Thanks! That was more than helpful. So I removed all my animations and reinstalled WW. Deleted the localthumbcache and still nothing happens. Is there an animation I am missing? I can't seem to find the broken mod.

  1. Update your game.
  2. Rename Mods to Mods.backup and create a new Mods folder and a WW subfolder. Keep the Tray foldef as-is.
  3. Add WW to the WW folder and start the game. The mod should be displayed as loaded and starting a new game you should see that it works.
  4. Do not add anims, cas, objects, mods to the WW folder.
  5. Then install animations and test, probaby in Mods/Anim/
  6. Then add custom CAS and build objects, Lots and Household data and test.
  7. Then add your other mods and test.
  8. Then launch your old game. Hopefully it is not corrupted and works as expected.

If a test fails undo the previous action and install less animations/content/mods (50/50 test).
