Guest Posted November 11, 2020 Posted November 11, 2020 So I've got a little more information on the offset for the facial features, it seems that it is only a problem if you use Facial Animations with the latest version of Alien Races. Disabling FA for me and using all the unedited mod files makes everything look normal. However with FA and FA Patches everything is offset into the center of their heads. I managed to make a quick rough "fix" for those that use FA + FA Patches to make the ears return to a normal position by messing with the Race.xml offsets values for the ears. It seems everyone is probably having slightly different problems, but I am just going to stick this edited Race.xml files here if you all want to give it a shot. Note that this is really my first time messing with Rimworld xmls so I'm pretty sure I did it wrong but it worked on my end. As always, make backups of your files before replacing them. Race.xml
YameYame Posted November 12, 2020 Posted November 12, 2020 Hello im getting an error after i install this, is this safe to ignore? if not can you help me how to fix this?https://gist.github.com/9532566e4aec012d560832717967cfbb Spoiler Could not resolve cross-reference to RimWorld.FactionDef named Kurin_PlayerFaction (wanter=factionDefs) Verse.Log:Error(String, Boolean) Verse.DirectXmlCrossRefLoader:TryResolveDef(String, FailMode, Object) Verse.WantedRefForList`1:TryResolve(FailMode) Verse.<>c__DisplayClass15_1:<ResolveAllWantedCrossReferences>b__0(WantedRef) Verse.<>c__DisplayClass6_1`1:<ParallelForEach>b__0(Object) System.Threading.QueueUserWorkItemCallback:WaitCallback_Context(Object) System.Threading.ExecutionContext:RunInternal(ExecutionContext, ContextCallback, Object, Boolean) System.Threading.ExecutionContext:Run(ExecutionContext, ContextCallback, Object, Boolean) System.Threading.QueueUserWorkItemCallback:System.Threading.IThreadPoolWorkItem.ExecuteWorkItem() System.Threading.ThreadPoolWorkQueue:Dispatch() System.Threading._ThreadPoolWaitCallback:PerformWaitCallback()

Nice job, thanks for the update.
YameYame Posted November 16, 2020 Posted November 16, 2020 thanks for the new update, gonna try it now.
bucpar Posted November 17, 2020 Posted November 17, 2020 I can not get ears or faces or tails except when pawn is naked, then everything looks great. I'm using Facial Animations and HAR, I have tried with/without the patch above and with FA patches following the load order advice from those pages. I am using the latest version posted a few days ago here. I also use the Rabbie race and although the faces look fine, no ears or tails except, again, when naked. Besides that, thanks for a great looking mod.
Tarathiel Posted November 19, 2020 Posted November 19, 2020 I'm having much the same issue as Bucpar, no ears faces or tails on the Kurin. I'm not using facial animations but I am using HAR and the latest version of Kurin, does it still need Garam? I was under the impression that dependency on Garam had been removed.
bucpar Posted November 19, 2020 Posted November 19, 2020 Also for weirdness and FYI; My Kurin had a child that had fox ears, tails and a face. As soon as she hit 12 . . . all gone. I've also removed Facial Animations.
Tarathiel Posted November 19, 2020 Posted November 19, 2020 Ok so I moved Kurin ABOVE the RJW Races patch and now my Kurin have ears tails and faces again, bucpar you might want to do the same.

madok Posted November 23, 2020 Posted November 23, 2020 wearing stockings makes some outfits clip with the body model (see picture) Spoiler some outfits (mainly the underwear) is back to using korean (or do i still need the translation mod ?) and when in item form (not worn by anyone) some outfits they dont show their color of their material. also any chance on getting another SFW version ? mainly removal of some of the more "daring outfits" also huge thank you for continuing this mod
DyrantCore Posted November 30, 2020 Posted November 30, 2020 Poking in with a probably functional CE patch, not throwing any errors at launch and makes most everything play nice from what I can tell, also deals with the 'no melee penetration stat' error that bugged me into trying my hand at modifying CE's in-built Kurin patch. All I really did was make sure it was looking for the right Defs and files, and ripped out all the Garam specific stuff, everything else is the same as the CE people made. I have no idea how to go about building this to inject itself as a standalone patch, so if you want to use it you'll need to go in to CE itself and rip out the old patch and put this one in it's place, should work well enough until they update CE again. KurinCEPatchPrototype.7z Edit: Came across a couple of issues that I think I've managed to correct, probably caused by the sub-par editor I was using, went back through with Notepad++ and it seems to have cleared them up. madok Posted December 2, 2020 Posted December 2, 2020 as far as the layering goes its not really the worst since it only really stands out with one or 2 outfits. i did find another bug in wich skeleton kurin keep their eyes and mouth. again not the worst but weird. on another note any chance to get some apparel added to the royalty appropriate list ? so far its only the casual wear and traditional hairpin also something thing like prestige or eltex equipment for psycasters would be nice. i was trying to grab some vanilla art assets to modify them but my pc does not like the unpacking programs
GreatFez Posted December 7, 2020 Posted December 7, 2020 Happened to notice today that the hot top can't be worn together with the hot pants. If that's unintended, editing Apparel_OnSkin.xml to remove the Torso and Neck tags in bodyPartGroups for Kurin_OnSkin_Hot_Pants will allow them to work together.

I have a couple ideas for a fix that i'll try eventually. I coulda sworn i added a few things to the royal apparel list. casual wear was just the low tier one and as for eltex stuff, i have no idea what would fit that category. maybe i could just give them innate psycast power? Guest Posted December 30, 2020 Posted December 30, 2020 A couple of questions, is the version you uploaded to the workshop a continuation of this version or are these two entirely different? Also this might just be me missing something but it says that this was updated recently (Wednesday to be precise) but the files are all still older versions.

So be patient i guess. Here's the current list of changes that we're working on Eye colors switching to the resized body new weapons and armor Reworked faction tweaks and balances 1
RimmerInTheWorld Posted January 2, 2021 Posted January 2, 2021 Sorry for the noob question, but the OP says "Requires HAR framework and De-Generalize work!" Where can I find HAR framework and De-Generalize work? I'm not getting any results for them

doublebumper Posted January 11, 2021 Posted January 11, 2021 I just got a quest about protecting two Kurin and they're actually just humans. Odd.. I know Kurin can spawn in this save because I've seen one (although I've removed S16+ since then), but they weren't allowed to here for some reason
