Tykhe Posted April 14, 2020 Posted April 14, 2020 Hi, WW don't install to my computer 'cos "EA folder is missing." I have installed Sims 4, turned it on plenty of times and EA folder is in its normal place. I can find it in this PC>documents>EA>ts4. I think 'cos same problem MCCC don't work and basemental drugs works badly. I can for instance plant cannabis but I can't smoke it. Please, help me with my problem. Edit: All of CC works completely fine.

(You only need the two files inside to make it work) I would also delete the Remove EA Eyelashes as even the updated version was causing some sims to have no face. But you could just monitor it for now to see if you have the bug and remove it later. Next make a new folder in mods named Wicked Animations, (all animations go in there) You will need to download animations for WW to work. Some will need to be extracted and some won't(package files) Azmodan22, Mike24, MOTHERLODESIMS, & Lupobianco are some of the most popular ones and you can always add more later. https://www.loverslab.com/files/category/201-animations-wickedwhims/ What are all those numbered folders in your mods folder? Open them up and see whats inside them as I don't think they belong there. Depending on what they are they should be moved to your desktop in a Temp folder for now. When you're done with everything delete your localthumbcache file in your TS4 folder. (You need to do this whenever adding, removing, or updating mods or game). Do you have a resource.config file in your mods, if not the game can't find your mods. This is created by game the first time you run it without mods, but you have to check game settings/other to enable scripts and mods and exit. Attached one here in case you don't. Resource.cfg
Crashdown117 Posted April 14, 2020 Posted April 14, 2020 About the numbered folders: They kinda remind me of downloads from TSR (thesimsresource), if I'm not mistaken. Don't know if they still handle files that way, but a lot of them used to be .zip or .rar archives with their name being the internal ID TSR assigned to them. You can safely put all your CC .package files into one big folder (or make a few for clothing, build objects etc., as is recommended). The more files and folders you have in your Mods folder, the longer the game takes to load all that stuff. Also make sure that nothing is buried to deep. Having a folder within Mods is fine, having another folder within that folder is not. As for MCCC and BMD: You might need to update your game, since these mods are meant for the latest game version. BMD received a small update last week (April 10th) btw, maybe that problem of yours got fixed.

I didn't see an MCCC folder in the OP post but maybe it's below and can't be seen without scrolling down. Your right about the numbered files I think, but I always changed their names to what they actually are so I can keep track what I have installed. And yes I combine all the hairstyles into one folder named Hair, and same thing for makeup, clothing, etc. Dang BMD had another update I missed, good I hope the second hand smoke reward trait got fixed as it isn't working now.
Crashdown117 Posted April 14, 2020 Posted April 14, 2020 Second hand smoke is right at the top of the changelog, that one got fixed. I just mentioned MCCC because OP stated it wasn't working - but now I almost feel coerced to suggest an update from 6.6.0 to 7.1.0 (unless you're on Legacy, of course). The 7.x.x versions introduced a few new features, adapted everything for Discover University and also fixed a couple of bugs.

I also have a few of animations already installed, for instance wild guy and Zorak. Anyhow, WW won't show in my game. 1 hour ago, Scorpio said: What are all those numbered folders in your mods folder? Open them up and see whats inside them as I don't think they belong there. I'll clean it as you and Crashdown117 advised. 1 hour ago, Scorpio said: When you're done with everything delete your localthumbcache file in your TS4 folder. Crashdown117 Posted April 14, 2020 Posted April 14, 2020 Don't know if that makes a difference, but I have all of MCCC's files in one folder (named "MCCC", but names definitely do not matter). I've seen some funny things happen with mods, so maybe these two folders are read as two different mods by the game and somehow interfere with each other. Also (and that idea literraly just struck me right now): You're saying that there's absolutely no MCCC in your game, that WW won't show up and that you can use BMD's objects (plant weed etc.) but not it's actions (like smoking) - all while regular CC (clothing, build objects,...) work fine. Is it possible that you enabled "mods and custom content", but not "script mods", which is an extra option in the settings? Everything that's not working for you, is some kind of script.

Then just delete the other folder after you move them. Sounds like your game isn't loading the script mods like Crashdown117 mentioned.
