So what's the deal with Bodyslide?

I've been modding Skyrim and NV for quite some years now, and something I always understood is that there were always different body mods to choose, Skyrim in particular offered a lot of bodies (CBBE, UNP, the Bodyslide versions of the previous bodies...). However, one thing was very clear: YOU COULD ONLY CHOOSE ONE BODY.

On my process to mod FO4 I've gotten myself in quite the trouble: I don't know what are the differnt bodies, or rather, I don't know if they're different. Just a couple of days ago I asked in a thread which body I could choose to make buff women, and a user directed me to "True Wasteland Body". That mod says it adds more sliders to the base Bodyslide mod, which I take it's CBBE. In that case any armor/clothing mod reliant on CBBE Bodyslide should in theory be automatically compatible with TWB... Except I'm finding TWB conversions, so does that mean that an armor mod that requires CBBE Bodyslide isn't compatible with TWB despite TWB being and addon to CBBE?

 

I'm very confused guys. Could I use TWB and install armor/clothing mods that don't specify TWB without fear? If not, is there a proper way to make muscular bodies outside of TWB that is compatible with all these armor mods?

My guess is no, the clothing for say CBBE, will only have the sliders for that body.  If there is a conversion reference for CBBE to TWB, then to use cbbe clothing, you would have to convert them with bodyslide/outfit studio.  

 

it is easier to look thru the bodies, and see how many armor and clothing mods there are and see if there is a preset you like.

 

Go the the TWB page, and click on requirements, there will be a list of mods that need this body.  You can do the same for any body type.

Well, that sucks big time. There are outfits I wanted to use and are not converted.
