Slave Tats Problem

Whenever I try to use any tats, it tells me I need NiOverride, RaceMenu, or SKEE. I have both NiOverride and RaceMenu though. Also, about half of the tattoo options show up as squares (pic related). I have no idea what is causing the problem, I've been scouring the internet and trying different things for awhile now and cant seem to get it to work.. Any help appreciated

First, you don't need both NIOverride is incorporated into RaceMenu.

The squares or any other strange character usually means that the language is wrong. More specifically the alpha numeric characters are not those of your language.

Nioverride is included already in Racemenu => no need to install nio as standalone

SKEE is a typo and means SKSE

Guess you installed tattoos from a Asian/Russian source and the letters can't be shown with the language of your skyrim installation

They will still work tho

I thought so, but it seemed harmless so I downloaded it as well hoping it would fix the problem. And you're right, I downloaded a chinese pack haha.

 

Well I discovered my problem. Turns out the SE version does not in fact work on Oldrim. I know, shocking.
