You're answer is to go to the discord channel and get support .. much like the instructions stated that you passed over ;)  If you missed that instruction it is ever so likely you missed something or didn't follow something else on the OP. ;)

To all that state they follow the  guide.. and post request for support here..  you are lying.  Pure and simply. That instruction is there for a  reason.

These AAF install instructions are clear and so basic versus the early days when we all were still trying stuff out to see what works. No one reads anything anymore. No one does internet searches to see if their issue has been covered anymore. No one wants to actually work hard at reading all the posts from all the folks who followed instructions and got AAF to work. We are in the age of a dumbed down generation. Figure it out, most of us had to!

Questions:

  1. This guide tells me, I need Advanced Animation Framework v147b but on Nexus I can just download v154b from Nexus
  2. Super Mutant penises in Leito animations looks OK, but in SavageCabbages way too big and misaligned, what can I do? :(
  3. Is there a way to cycle the stages manually via hotkey?
  4. Any plans to add a toggle menu hotkey?
  5. Is it possible to align the animations via menu (x,y,z, schlong angle)?
  6. Is it possible to add .ini settings, where we can edit the values for the NUM-Pad actions. The steps to move in any directions are way too big.
  7. If do these movement corrections, player & NPC will are misaligned in many cases. Is there a realign (reset) hotkey like in Sexlab for Skyrim?
  8. Too sad, the knee fix for CBBE is not compatible (causes weird schlongs). I read here on LL this will never be combatible or get fixed. Is that true? :(

Thanks for the guide, the mods and your help!
It's a great community :D

Ciao!

Parts of the guide were probably not updated. AAF is version 154 now..

Do not use Leitos .My SC junk looks fine. Define way too big...........usually a Body Talk issue where you did not build the body correct in Bodyslide.

Check AAF instructions, menu allows animations to be cycled with Pg Up, Pg Dn keys..

Press Home, that is your Menu key..

No animation alignment. All are pre-aligned per the animation packs..

HAVE NO IDEA ABOUT INI SETTINGS, the more you mess with them, the greater the chance to destroy your game..

No alignment reset. Sometimes changing the animation might do it but often not..

CBBE has the built in issue, folks use Fusion Girl as alternative..

All your questions have been covered in at least 50 posts plus. You need to search the internet more..

Not to mention deleting post after you don't get your way... (the post I was referring to is missing now. ;) )  What a winner!

Ok, i've previously had AAF working, just decided to start a new play through with a few different mods, so followed this guide.  Now I can hit the home key and open the AAF menu, but when i hit enter, the loading circle spins around AAF, but the wizard doesn't open, tried with Violate, and none of the animations are working either.  The only thing that I really changed from a previous game was i deleted The one patch to Bang Them All, RSE - CSA and Patch for animations (Squirt/Cum Effects, cum/tattoo overlays, stages, fixes).  Now while i was typing this in, I re-installed The one patch to Bang them all and now it works fine, So my question is can it work without the one patch and if so how, Why does it seem to only work with the One Patch and your Guide specifically says not to use it?

I do not use One Patch. Only patch I use is the Simple Patch. Been that way for a bit without problems. Really do not need any patch as long as you use latest updated animation packs.

Wish you put descriptions of why we need to download some of these.  such as Ulfberth's AAF Patch.  The whole installation is a hassel, Buffout4 doesn't seem to work for me and all them shenanigans needed for it.

The why is simple. To get working animations. AAF is not simple to install as each author etc has different setups and some animations are no longer supported by the original authors and supported by the team to make the whole AAF experience better. This guide is updated and reviewed every time a new mod is released on LL to see where and how it will work.

Buffout needs some understanding to install however it works great. Maybe hop onto the Discord to get some help.

AAF works fine without Buffout4 . Do not let that mod keep you from setting up AAF. Also, get used to saving previous version of mods. Do not be quick to put your game in harms ways with the latest updates until after a bit, they are determined to be stable. Past versions of any mod can get harder to find if you do not save them yourself. Past versions of AAF and past versions of the animations still work great, if any updated AAF requirements get too wonky. Simple, really is better. There are recommended versus required mods. There are also suggested mods when it comes to AFF requirements. Do not let others push you into making AAF ,a more complicated install than it has to be.

**Reposting this from another thread 'cause I think it will save people some time and headaches with AAF and realted mods.**

So, updating my test results - the BTv3, FG and Zex combo works great, very happy.

Before installing bodies, physics and animations I installed all my base mods, i.e., sort mods (SimpleSorter), Settlements Mods (not Simms), Weather, etc., and made a couple new fresh saves, and some just to sanctuary or, just to concord saves. This takes me days - I try to be very thorough!

I went heavy with CBBE at first, which works well but, it is not as functional as what I'm used to with SSE. Then I switched to Gender Speficic Animations w/ Knee-Fix CBBE & BodyTalk & Zex. It worked well with no issues but, only after you decipher the poorly written instructions for installs of the proper mods and wade through versioning issues, and differing load orders of the mod authors and, the different variations possible, and do things that aren't even in the instructions but are buried in the forum posts - it takes some hours to complete. Major draw back is that it is at least twice the work for no real added benefit and with limited functionality compared to Fusion Girl.

Next, I unchecked all CBBE specific Bodiy stuff, Physics and Armor mods and then installed Fusion Girl. Using FG specific Physics & Configs and, FG Armor Sliders for CBBE sets along with FG specfic Armors. BodySlideded Fusion Girl and BodyTalk again, rebuilt SimpleSorter and Crafting Patches, rebuilt xEdit merge patch, etc., and it works great and looks great.

Long story short, for the functionality we here on this site want: Fusion Girl & BodyTalk with Zex is easier to install, is straightforward and, it works at least as well as CBBE or a more complicated set-up like CBBE Knee-Fix wtih GSS and BTv3. I have plenty of armor sets and replacers installed too - lots of great looking armor mods like Lazmans (lazy bastard that he is), Fort's sets, Pampas, Shino, etc. - all have specific CBBE-to-FG armor conversions or, FG specific armros. All the body functionality you want in the bodies exists with Fusion Girl and BodyTalk.

For the Fusion Girl & BodyTalk combination make sure to use the specific Physics and, the specific Physics Config files for each of those bodies.

A quick search on Nexus for "fusion, slider" or "fusion, cbbe" should bring up lots of results for Armor and what not. I am building over 700 armor pieces in BodySlide when I do the full batch build for my Fusion Girl armors.

Fuck those CBBE guys! (p.s. plz don't ban me from my Skyrim mods)

It's time to install AAF (which is why I went through all of the above work):

I installed AAF, the Sex theme and a couple of animations and I immediately CTD. And no, it's not some other mod or anything I did wrong. I am very thorough. I did all of the above just to test how all the different body/physics/armor/texture variations and combinations would work, and coupled with 190+ other mods I installed in the same way (lets hear it for ocd) it all works great in every variation - without AAF. So, by installing one additional mod, and a couple of it's dependencies, I can't even start the game now - of course as soon as I uncheck it in MO2 right back to FO4 Being Great Again! In any rational universe, AAF is the Mod with incompatability issues and not the other way around. Apparently, for FO4 and AAF to work without immediate or constant CTD / Freezes we have 2x Options:

A) Install AAF and only it's requirements before all other mods then, 1-at-a-time, install AAF add-on's & animations - tesintg each one after install. Then when you got all the AAf stuff you want you can try to install your other mods?? Which means I would have to start the game appoximately 250+ times (and play for a bit) to ensure I know exactly what mod(s) AAF is incompatible with or...

B) I can (essentailly) only use only the base game with AAF. Not really a viable option.

Every time I install a mod I go through the full routine: Loot, xEdit, sorting scripts for xEdit, tweaking load order, reading forums, etc. So, I would have to start the game 250+ times with all the work involved for each mod install (to ensure I have a reliable game running) - we're talking about a ridiculousy long lead-time to get AAF up-and-running, again, with a game moded to do a full play-through. Plus, no matter what, the end result will be uninstallation of mods that I know work well with hundreds of other mods - save for one. It's the very same reason the AAF folks are shitting on VIS-G in the forums (which does deserve to be shat on) - sort of ironic.

AAF Folks: Please, add an External Mods Compatabilities Section (Known To Work / Known Not to Work) that is independent of extraneous issues. Maybe a section of "These Mods may work but...". Lots of other mods do this and it is very helpful.

Know why Bezos is the richest man in the universe? Amazon's motto is: The customer is always right! It's something to think about. Ya got to give a little to gain even more.

Som of the issues I've had since coming back to FO4 in the last 2 weeks stem from basically every major mod going through updates and rollbacks as I was reinstalling everything. I forgot how hard this was to get right last year.

If you want people to adopt AAF, which is the primary reason for using the other mods talked about here in LL, make it easier! If versions matter, be very explicit about it. Use one support site, how about LL?

I want a little bit of porn in my FO4 - it's not the reason I play FO4. Spending what will amount to who knows how many more nights trying to get AAF up, after all the other issues with what are essentially dependencies for AAF, seems unappealing. Who knows what other issues I may have? Maybe if I knew in advnace what other major mods or mod types AAF was definitively incompatible with...

I ain't your enemy.

i see a lot of "FG is great" posts lately , which is fine ... but new players should know that CBBE is the most used body and many "old" mods use that reference. Also cbbe has options like true wasteland body to create shapes with subtle or very muscular definition.

Sorry Foetus but no "fuck those CBBE guys!" there are good reasons to choose one or the other, personal choice

ps : if some people want an alternative easy fix for CBBE knee bug using BodyTalk & Zex just pm me

Honestly, the CBBE vs FG debate is senseless. Converting outfits from CBBE to FG is fairly straight forward using BodySlide and although most reference CBBE they can be easily converted in most cases without needing much editing.

outfits can be converted, my concern is more not having a plastic doll nude body. I love True Wasteland body (no compatibility) and FSM (partial compatibility). Anyway this thread is not the right place to compare Cbbe to FG, sorry about my previous post.
