Usualy when i have a problem and im not certain what it could be, i just uncheck mods..uncheck 10 mods, start game, if the problem is still there, go back uncheck another 10 mods etc etc.

Pwishy Posted February 6, 2013 Posted February 6, 2013 Had the same problem, what I did was disable all plugins. Take the boat and board Solstheim. Save and exit, enable all plugins. For hair mods and stuff which is in a pain in the ass to reconfigure, I kept them on. But 95% of my plugins were off. Though I'm having CTD issues too frequently with my all my mods on.

I'm considering not touching anything on Solstheim for now... CTD every 5 mins breaks immersion too much

Anyway good luck with figuring out the cause of your problem.

sora3 Posted February 7, 2013 Posted February 7, 2013 Usually, what I do if this happens is go for a completely vanilla so all mods disabled and start the game. If it crashes, then it means that something has gone wrong during the download. If not, then slowly add the mods back. I'd usually load mods that won't impact much on the game so unofficial patches/bug fixes, additional hair, armour, lighting then any gameplay mods. The gameplay mods are the last since they usually involve a massive change in the game so having them last usually helps.
kaosmu Posted February 7, 2013 Posted February 7, 2013 I was having the very same problem, so I just started do uncheck every single mod that changes gameplay and only let mods like bug fixes, hair models, skin and things like that.(That's right, no custom armor... clothes...) After that I no longer get CTD's; Hope it helps and sorry for my bad english, just wanted to help haha. xD

myuhinny Posted February 8, 2013 Posted February 8, 2013 It might depend on what type of mods you have installed I have around 40 armor and clothing 153 unassigned some not turned on and 19 other mods 6 not turned on in that group and only had 1 ctd when I was in one of the black books I also thought I had 2 bad quests till I found out that I had to finish the main one that was preventing them from moving forward after doing that those were able to be completed. The only thing I noticed was that in the shamans mushroom tower the float up seems to bug out when I click e to float up I become frozen but reloading and using the tcl console command allowed me to bypass it.
