[SE] Specific recreateable CTD and specific animations that won't show in SLAL. [Sexlab parasites / animated parasites]

Everytime one of the sexlab parasites with an animation in animated parasites is applied to my character, I ctd immediately after clicking "ok" in the pop-up window telling me the parasite was applied.
I've yet to have the game try to add any other parasite too me, I've only been in the situations where the facehugger would be applied, but I am inclined to assume the blame is with Animated Parasites, not Sexlab Parasites, because I cannot get those animations to appear in SLAL.
I have done the set of actions that normally fixes an issue of missing animations normal times. (disable all, rebuild, reload jsons, enable, register)

For the attached Papyrus log I launched the game, fast traveled to a spot with an outside bedroll, and just spammed sleep until it tried to put one on me.

Edit: I notice that at the end of the log it says it's equipped then just stops (the ctd) without showing an error from it.
Not sure if that's a good or bad sign.

Animated Parasites doesn't add animations to SLAL.

The LE version v1.5.3 has no additional SLAL animations.

I'm not sure what version of animated parasites got converted to SE.

But the only SLAL animation Animated Parasites would add via additional file would be unrelated to Sexlab Parasites.

Animated Parasites 1.5.2 needs to overwrite your skeleton to work correctly.

 

The animations it adds are directly applied to the parasite object ingame and are not connected to Sexlab.

 

You might miss a requirement for SLparasites tho.

The SLparasites are connected to Devious Devices.

You could check if they work correctly.

 

The facehugger that gets added after sleep has also a devious devices gag effect.

It occured to me I could check if SLParasite was the problem by using the menu to force equip one of the ones not given an animation, and it worked perfectly.
So I can say with a fair degree of certainty it is the animated parasite mod

Good thinking.

So means Animated Parasites is the culprit.

The SE version even has a SMP-HDT setup.

If you don't have SMP installed I hope you installed AP for regular or non HDT.

The mod page looks a bit confusing.

Maybe try to install the non HDT version?

Tried that, still doesn't work.
Which was honestly expected since I do have HDT installed

yes but because the page is confusing I can't see a clear difference between SMP/HDT and HDT in the files

maybe ask directly in the support topic of that mod?

OP already posted in that thread, didn't wait for response and created this topic. In the last page there are several comments about CTD and even an attached file that seems to be a fix/compatibility patch for Animated parasites and XPMSSE.

I waited for a response, but too much time passed without one.
I've tried using that patch but it didn't help any.

Exactly the same problem, just uninstalled it for now. =(
