HanPL Posted October 6, 2011 Posted October 6, 2011 I think it's worth mentioning. Â Â Steve Jobs, the mastermind behind Apple's iPhone, iPad, iPod, iMac and iTunes, has died, Apple said. Jobs was 56. Â "We are deeply saddened to announce that Steve Jobs passed away today," read a statement by Apple's board of directors. "Steve's brilliance, passion and energy were the source of countless innovations that enrich and improve all of our lives. The world is immeasurably better because of Steve. His greatest love was for his wife, Laurene, and his family. Our hearts go out to them and to all who were touched by his extraordinary gifts." Â
Mailamea Posted October 6, 2011 Posted October 6, 2011 You know whats more interesting, stock prices of apple increased significantly over the incident making the total net worth 18billiion US Dollars. Â oh and Tim forgot the surname is the successor. Â Â
iron_jack Posted October 6, 2011 Posted October 6, 2011 Shame. I don't own and most likely will never buy any Apple products, but he seemed like a genuinely likeable guy.    stock prices of apple increased significantly over the incident  I saw that too. That seems very strange. I would've assumed it'd make their stock take a tumble.
HanPL Posted October 6, 2011 Author Posted October 6, 2011 Well I would say it's kinda normal. Michael Jackson died...= ultra sell of his CD's.. Amy Winehouse = same thing. Steve Jobs...=Seems it works for him also, except cd's apple stock increased and pretty sure people will buy more Apple products.
Jerbsinator Posted October 6, 2011 Posted October 6, 2011 It's too bad that he passed away, too young. Â However, I don't agree with a lot of Apples marketing schemes and such. People think Windows is evil? Apple is much worse. I'll leave my Apple hating for another thread though this isn't the place for it.
Mailamea Posted October 10, 2011 Posted October 10, 2011 age of 56 is really too young, even younger than my grandparents. Â Apple's Ipad and the upcomming Iphone5 will break the marketing meters also because of the incident i think.
Guest Loogie Posted October 10, 2011 Posted October 10, 2011 Doing the math on that, either your grandparents or your parents started really young.
polluxval Posted October 10, 2011 Posted October 10, 2011 im not sure its real. maybe a smart move from apple? anw. dont believe me... im just writing bullshit... am i?
NightShade Posted October 10, 2011 Posted October 10, 2011 yep, he passed away. its everywhere. even reached up to my gaming network news. and IIRC, he passed away because of cancer
polluxval Posted October 11, 2011 Posted October 11, 2011 not even all the money in the world can save u. you just get some more time.
Mailamea Posted October 11, 2011 Posted October 11, 2011 Leukemia therapy costs a lot but its not 100% guaranteed to win.
Guest flingingfeces Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 10 years ago we had Johnny Cash, Bob Hope and Steve Jobs. Now we have no Cash, no Hope and no Jobs... Please don't let Kevin Bacon die.
Kuroshu Posted October 25, 2011 Posted October 25, 2011 @Flingingfeces That's funny as hell man. I soo gotta write that down
LordJerle Posted October 25, 2011 Posted October 25, 2011 I have nothing good to say about the man, his idea of "business ethics", or his sales methodology. I just hope Apple gets bought out by a company that doesn't buy into proprietary hardware systems, so technology can progress faster.
