They help, but don't solve. It really sounds like one of those random issues when you install too many mods in NV.

Like A.J. said, it sounds like you have to many plug-ins. There is a "soft" limit of around 130 or so. When you approach/go over this limit- crazy things start happening in your game. Try merging some of your simple mods like clothing and stuff. This should solve your issues. It was made for Skyrim, but, works for FNVEdit as well.

I'll have to look at that next time I'm on my laptop, and see if that will help. I actually got everything up and working on my desktop, which is a much more powerful machine, so I'm good at the moment. Thank you for the link!

Is it natural that smaller talk triggers the base conversation every few seconds? I get the idea that NPCs want to talk to me, but every 1 minute, it gets annoying ... I need this mod for fertile breeder captured...

For NPC's without dialog lines. After clicking it, it will take a couple of seconds and then go into conversation mode.

 

For NPC's with dialog lines, after starting dialog, if you end it too fast, it will also restart conversation.

You can change the delay time in MCM menu.

 

If you walk away before they can speak to you, they will follow you everywhere. So don't do that.

Smallertalk causes my game to crash after about 5 seconds of using the smallertalk dialogue on an npc. Does anyone know the solution to this problem?

This mod doesn't add sex. It's a framework mod for mods that want to add voice-less dialog, like Sexout mods. (But works for all voiceless mods)

When you remove it, nothing remains, so I'd think that the cause's something else.

Heres my load order - anything else that could be breaking? Smaller talk isn't there anymore since I deleted it.

I'm not great at identifying problems with mod load orders and such.

With which NPC's doe you have the problems. Also you need Smallertalk for various SexoutMods.

Also, please remove aWHK, it was using a specific Lutana's function whose functionality later was changed. Unless this is not a specific version that someone else already modified to adapt the change, of course :)

 

Back to your problem, could you give few extra infos on what happens exactly?

That's weird yo! I never thought about seeing one of my mods in some one else's load order. Can say for sure it's not mine that's causing problems.

Thanks for the general clean up. NPCs that are broken, that I remember, are
 - Duke (FB) was broken but I managed to fix him. No idea how.
 - Three Dog (TTW) is broken. No dialogue for him other than "nevermind".

 - Vendortron (Weapons.Of.The.New.Millenia.Store) - when I interact with him, nothing happens.

 

Other things to note - 

I've only recently had Smallertalk, and never noticed any problems with any of my mods before I installed. Problems only started to show AFTER it was installed.

Imho, it's a kind of problem that shouldn't happen. So it could be a good idea first trying to understand a bit more of this issue, with the old "unselect half of the mods - test in game - repeat" thing until you narrow down which mod is specifically interfering.

 

Other than that... Well, when you want a mod to win on a conflict, you move it on the bottom of your load order and see if something changes in game.
