Recommended Posts

Hello everyone i'm actually new here and i need some help with my skyrim.

I have been moding before but because that my game literally just got unplayable and completely useless so i had to delete everything and now im here if i can get some help with that and looking for some nice mods to add, (can be NSFW/not).

i actually don't have anything installed yet apart of SSE.

so please tell me what do i have to do if anyone is kind enough to do that.

Dude sexlab light has been abandoned for nearly 2 years. The full framework has been in stable beta for months and a lot of mods are already ported. You don't need to use SL light, most likely you'll have issues and limited amount of mods.

To start modding the first thing you must do is to pick your mod manager, if you got to the point where it was completely useless and had to delete everything, I guess you were manually installing the mods or using NMM? There are better tools if you want, both Vortex and Mod Organizer 2 won't mess with your game files, so you can always go back to using the original game files if you need to remove mods. Also the install order doesn't matter, like it would if you manually install stuff, where you are overwritting older files with new ones all the time. So 1st step is pick a good mod manager and learn to use it (plenty of videos about how to use Vortex/MO2).

Then you just need to start checking for requirements, the cornerstone here is the Sexlab Framework, so knowing which mod are required by sexlab is a must. Appart from the basic requirements, you will need:

  • A female body replacer. The most common one for SE is CBBE, its in the nexus. Just make sure you pick the nude options while you install it.
  • A male body replacer. SOS is the one I know, there are skin texture replacers if you want better resolution (these are in the nexus too).
  • FNIS, so you can use the animations the framework and other mods will be adding. You must run GenerateFNISforUsers.exe each time you add or remove a mod with animations. And if you are using Vortex or MO2 you must run this tool through the mod manager (again, there are videos about how to do this).
  • A skeleton to support all the animations / physics. XP32 MSSE is the way to go here, don't let other mods overwrite the skeleton from this mod (sos comes with its own skeleton but you don't want to use that one).
  • Finally, a mod to start the sex scenes from the framework, there are plenty of choices here so you should check this thread to see which mods are available for Skyrim SE in this site. To name a few, there is "Follow me for sex" (just through dialogues with a lot of settings to tweak it in the MCM), "Sexlab Romance" (dialogue but its based in % so there is chances to fail). The list is long, but you should stick to the green ones, these are the more stable ones.

And read, read a lot. Check the description of each mod you want to try. If you have issues with a mod in particular check the support thread (each mod with its own download page has a forum thread), people usually post details about the mod there, so chances are that's the best place to check for a fix or advice. There are a couple of guides around here, but I can't find the one I was going to recommend you (its a blog post about someone who had to restart her/his game so its a step by step from no mods to a modded game with nsfw stuff from this site).

I don't use Vortex so I have no idea what does these "conflicting files" are. I mean, I'm familar with the concept of multiple mods providing the same files and overwritting each other (which I guess is what Vortex is telling you), but how do you solve that in Vortex? No clue.

Also I'm not sure why Vortex reports the DLCs as not enabled, since these files should be enabled by default. And for creature mods I'd recommend you to check this.

And a little tip about forum etiquette, don't create multiple threads to ask for the same problem, nor use titles as detailed as "help pls". No offense, seriously, this is just an advice so you can get the help you need. Just create 1 thread in the proper section of the forum and wait for others to give you advice.

I don't use discord.

I thought you said you had installed SSE, which I understand its Skyrim SE... So you have a lot of mods for SE (FNIS SE, SOS SE), I guess because you used the links I gave you without checking these are SE mods and you don't have Skyrim SE... Don't use these links, search the ones in the Skyrim Nexus or here in the Skyrim LE download section.

Even then, a lot of mods will ask you for the DLCs, so you may have an issue there even if you switch to the right mods.
