My GPU Doesn't Work

I wasted $350 and cannot return it apparently. Anyways maybe you guys can help.

I bought a RTX 2060 after my GTX 1060 died on me last month. But the thing became a pain right away when installing it. It doesn't come with screws to mount the bloody thing and it barely fits inside my case. I also think my motherboard may be too old to work with it. Since my monitor is a VGA and not HDMI I have to use an adapter, that I have been using with my 1060.

I got the thing inside the case and put into the slot on my mobo but the moment I start up my PC the display refuses to work. The card's fan is working and its putting off heat as I tried to figure things out. So clearly the card is working but I'm not sure what to do. I wasted $350 on a new card for nothing.

According to the same website you linked, your motherboard should be compatible with the 2060. But if it doesn't fit in your case then that's the issue.

Graphic cards nowdays don't come with screws, because these pieces should be in the back of your case. Check this video to see how it should be installed. No amount of software will help you if you can't place it properly in the first place.

I just tried an HDMI monitor and it still doesn't work.

I decided to try and yes I can return the card to Amazon with no fees by Feb 1st, 2020. I'll get the money back and I'm going console for now on. I'm tired of PC drama. Parts never work, you need this cord or that cord and it can't be blue but green. You need 550 PSU and not 545. You need a new mobo which costs $90+. You need a new case and mobo so you can use a different GPU which isn't compact single fan. Then you gotta have enough RAM or a high end processor and those are 100-200+ a piece.

I just fucking hate it all man. I just wanted a card after my 1060 died and one that would be powerful enough to not need replacing for years to come. One that would also not die on me out of nowhere even though I take good care of my PC cleaning it weekly. If anything I thought my HDD would die on me first since those loud things are so unreliable. But whatever, I'm using that $370 to get a Switch lite and some stuff for it sometime next month once everything is settled. PCs are just too much of a hassle.
