DesertDancer Posted November 27, 2019 Posted November 27, 2019 So I am trying to create my own follower and I am using the SoS body, I set the texture paths using NifSkope for the meshes and everything is in the data folder properly set, etc...even took out the tintmasks (been following different tutorials), yet no matter what I do, creation kit keeps saying that the facegen is missing and the face doesn't show and neither does the body it seemed when I tested it in game. Most of the tutorials rely on create a follower kits and are mainly female followers and I am creating a male one from scratch using the SoS body, so I can't really find any info to help me fix certain issues. Should I use a different body?
Guest Posted November 27, 2019 Posted November 27, 2019 You should use any kind of naked body you want. And then let SOS handle the nudity by adding the dick when the actor is naked.
DesertDancer Posted November 27, 2019 Author Posted November 27, 2019 Alright, I will see if I can find another body that works with SoS. I thought about SAM; but looking it up, it might not work well with SoS.
Guest Posted November 27, 2019 Posted November 27, 2019 Nope. SAM bodies do not work with SOS. But usually SOS bodies are working just fine for male followers.

Should I use a different body? its the same process for everyone, you gather folders of meshes and textures with assets. In CK create Actor and naked body parts ( use any vanilla MaleNakedBody as reference) with creating headparts the same way.Create follower texture data using vanilla reference and export facegen with alt+f4. SoS mechanics are added automatically to your follower in MCM.
DesertDancer Posted November 27, 2019 Author Posted November 27, 2019 I didn't have the meshes and all that in character assets, so that might of been one problem. I will also try the vanilla body and all that.
DesertDancer Posted November 28, 2019 Author Posted November 28, 2019 So I figured out one big problem. I was using my character for the head.nif instead of the just a regular head.nif file (I guess you do that and then later when using nifmerge you use the character's facegen and the the alt + f4 one). That was probably why I kept getting that message. I feel a bit silly not really realizing that until now; but that's how you learn I guess. I am just using the vanilla body though as it would probably work best though and just easier and then go into the game.
wokking56 Posted December 13, 2019 Posted December 13, 2019 I also have a CK problem I am planning on making a small settlement and would like to use Apachii hairs for my NPCs. Yet when I try to load both the Skyrim and Apachii files my CK gives me an error message saying I can't load more then one master. I know many people have done this as I can see them used in their mods.
RW311 Posted December 13, 2019 Posted December 13, 2019 You need to edit the skyrimeditor.ini file found in skyrim root folder in order to allow multiple masters to load in ck. First add this line under [General] bAllowMultipleMasterLoads=1 Then down near the bottom under [Archive] you need to edit this line to match - the only changes are in SresourceArchiveList but I put the entire thing so you can check against yours or copy paste because this is from my ini and it does work. [Archive] bInvalidateOlderFiles=1 SArchiveList=Skyrim - Textures.bsa, Skyrim - Meshes.bsa, Skyrim - Animations.bsa, Skyrim - Voices.bsa, Skyrim - Interface.bsa, Skyrim - Misc.bsa, Skyrim - Sounds.bsa, Skyrim - VoicesExtra.bsa, Skyrim - Shaders.bsa, Update.bsa SInvalidationFile=ArchiveInvalidation.txt iRetainFilenameOffsetTable=1 iRetainFilenameStringTable=1 iRetainDirectoryStringTable=1 bCheckRuntimeCollisions=0 bUseArchives=1 SResourceArchiveList=Skyrim - Textures.bsa, Skyrim - Meshes.bsa, Skyrim - Animations.bsa, Skyrim - Voices.bsa, Skyrim - Interface.bsa, Skyrim - Misc.bsa, Skyrim - Sounds.bsa, Skyrim - VoicesExtra.bsa SResourceArchiveList2=Skyrim - Shaders.bsa, Update.bsa, Update.bsa, Dawnguard.bsa, HearthFires.bsa, Dragonborn.bsa For Apachii hairs it is esm so you will have no problems but if you are using any other esp files as master for your work you must first edit that mods esp flag and change it to esm or CK will not save changes added from it.
DesertDancer Posted February 15, 2020 Author Posted February 15, 2020 So something I have learn was that underwear doesn't come off of custom followers. I tried the vanilla body and all that and while he worked in game, I couldn't get the vanilla underwear off with SOS. I had other custom followers installed and the same thing with them. They weren't ones I made and I noticed that they also had their underwear on all the time (the only different is that they had custom made underwear that looks more like underwear, so it isn't as bad as the vanilla one), I am going to try using the sos meshes again just with vanilla first person meshes to see if that would help make ck more stable. I am using mod organizer to launch skse; but maybe sos isn't overwriting everything? Has anyone else had this problem? For while I was just using the familiar faces mod for my follower; but it can be buggy, which why I wanted it to be more stand along. Should I move SOS to the skyrim steam data folder instead? Would that help overwrite all the custom follower? Or maybe I should just use their meshes.

Your males have underwear on when removing clothes and the underwear stays present, doesnt come off when having sex?
Heroine HoneyCrotch Posted February 15, 2020 Posted February 15, 2020 What are seeing for underwear? SOS speedo or vanilla LoinCloth Did you look in left window of MO for SOS to see if you have anything overwriting applicable files of SOS in load order?

Hide contents He is wearing the loin cloth, the blue one. It is on when he has sex or just naked along with the schlong. This only happens with custom followers. Nothing seems to be overwriting the mod as it is pretty low on the list and I have xp32 maximum skeleton extended as one of the last mods, it would the only thing overwriting it but I am just using that skeleton.
Heroine HoneyCrotch Posted February 15, 2020 Posted February 15, 2020 15 minutes ago, DesertDancer said: This only happens with custom followers. sounds like they have their own meshes packaged with them, vanilla meshes that are not taken what the player or vanilla characters are using. You can copy and paste sos meshes and textures into custom followers folder.
DesertDancer Posted February 15, 2020 Author Posted February 15, 2020 Well I found a few SOS stand alone followers, I am going to look and see how they did it. I tried use the SOS meshes before but they were briefly invisible when changing clothing (I know that SOS doesn't have the first person mesh and all that which creation kit needed, so I am guessing something was missing in their files or creation kit). But if I check the stand alone follower, maybe I can get a better idea, I am guessing what they did was made the genitals as armor addons.
