Here is my load order. https://modwat.ch/u/Blakenstein/plugins A crash in the same location is almost always a bad mesh from a mod. What's beyond that door that may be "new" to your game are some static assets from Dawnguard (which some mod may have changed (like the urns that you have to move to release Serana)) or Gargoyles. I would look at my load order, see what could be affecting those sorts of things and eliminate them one at a time until the CTD went away.

The bugs section of the mod list doesnt mention anyone having this issue either. no other dungeons i have visited have had me this issue, i am thinking of just consoling into the room serana is in and skip everything else just realized: thats the room with serana... should i try papyrus logs?

I don't claim to know what half of your mods are or do but there appear to be plenty that affect the "atmosphere." I reiterate that my best guess is that one of them contains a mesh that causes your CTD. I know no simple way to prove it though.  I will happily look at a papyrus log if you care to produce them but the rate of return looking at papyrus logs for CTDs is low for a number of reasons. Nevertheless, as I said, if you want to post one I'll look and see if there is any clue in there.

Most of my mods are from the modlist, the additional mods being either armor mods or just, sexlab mods. I attached my papyrus log just in case, though i can guess with a peek that it wouldnt be helpful. Still if there were some proper logging process. Finding the fault would have been easier. I will try checking for mesh related issues by disabling mods , until then is there a way to bypass this quest? I understand getting serana would then be an issue.... but if its possible with console commands then why not.  NINJA EDIT:- My issue was with SERANAHOLIC, deactivating the mod allowed me to enter dimhollow cavern. well I cant live without serana, so I will try reinstalling. Papyrus.0.log 89.3 kB · 0 downloads You're right that I would never have guessed that mod from your papyrus log.  You're also right about the way to deal with it. You complete delete the old version (making a note of where it was in your load order) and then load the mod again in the hopes that it was something in the uploading process that caused the issue (it does happen). Once uploaded make certain that you put the new version in the same spot as the old one if you're going to use a save.

Can i know why you recomend "making a note of where it was in your load order" and "make certain that you put the new version in the same spot as the old one if you're going to use a save"? You can demostrate a problem when load the savegame with the plugings in a diferent order?

I have no desire to get into a pissing contest with you over one of your pet peeves. It will not be of any benefit to the OP and the existing issues. You have provided plenty of other threads where, if I wanted to get into it with you I could. So please leave this one to the OP.

When your advice is not correct, I must say so. Â It is totally unnecessary to always put the ESP in the same position. If that were necessary, you can be sure that the guides would say it very clearly and that the managers would do it automatically. You can never have a problem caused by moving the plugings in the load order. If a mod breaks when doing so, it is a problem in the mod and, up to i know, none of the 60k mods in nexus has that problem. Â Please stop giving bad advice.
BlaineSensei Posted November 17, 2019 Author Posted November 17, 2019 Well I'd argue that keeping esps in the same place to take note of overwrites? regardless, i still cant figure out why seranaholic was the issue, but i moved to a different replaces but with valerica still from seranaholic. will try reinstalling and check.

Let me know how that works.
