Since sooner or later I will get even more into pc gaming do you guys recommended I should install windows 7 or windows XP since I love both the classics & modern games equally

I apologize for a bit long title to farther explain my question sooner or later I as a fellow otaku myself will get even more into pc gaming. & in a way I'm kinda stuck because of when & when & if I ever do build my own gaming pc & if I choose to do I install windows 7 or windows XP because of I admit it that I love both the classics & modern games equally. Those of you guys who sometimes do still play the classics you guys will understand why I'm asking for your extra tips,your extra suggestions & your extra help ahead of time.

 

Yeah yeah I know some of you guys don't play the classics & some of you guys hate the classics & say move on dude. & as for me I say I love both the classics & modern games equally & yes some of my favorite games are the classics & yes I know I know some of our favorite games & some of our all time favorite games of the classics either don't play on windows 7 or are not compatible to windows 7 or might needed to switch modes.

 

If none then please feel free to share your extra tips,your extra suggestions & your extra help ahead of time for a otaku like me on how to get even more into pc gaming & join the ranks of pc master race?

 

Only if you guys want to especially if any of you guys are otakus,weebs,final fantasy fan/huge fans & hentai fans like me. Since I'm a otaku,I'm a gamer,I'm a final fantasy fan/huge fan aka final fantasy nerd,I'm a hentai fan,I love hentai both vr & non-vr & I love hentai stuff too. I apologize for a repeat just saying that again just in case if any of you guys either forget,if any of you guys can't tell or if any of you guys don't know.

they won't work right with new computers/parts, there are no drivers available for them anymore, Win10 LTSC (to hell with any other version) is mostly ok if you can get your hands on it, otherwise Linux may be your only option (if you can even get the fucking thing to run the programs you want)

 

if you want winXP or win7 then you will need a older computer.

If you like modern games, safe bet would be install windows 7/10 and use compatibility mode for old games. Most games work for me that way (for example, hitman contracts)

Ok, you could also just install either Win7 or "Windows XP Mode" directly using VirtualBox, but where's the fun in that?

not entirely correct, ever heard of backward compatibility?
also new computers can work with Win 7, if hardware and drivers come from the same manufacturer.

I personally prefer older games, and most of my games do not work with Win 10!
I can say that for sure, because I own a 6000 Euro PC with Win10, this is no longer used by me.
my next PC I leave by a specialist workshop assemble, this gets Win 7. 

 

Oh, I forgot ,Win 7 got from Microsoft a DirectX 12 update, what do I want more.

Microshit made it so they are not, Eg: the usb drivers on there own would be a bitch to deal with on z390 and x570, so from the start your usb ports won't work (so no keyboard, and no mouse).

 

also you can't use M.2/NVME hard drives.

sorry, for late answer. 
everything is possible when specialists configure my PC, it costs more but that is it me worth.
So you're convinced of Win 10, then tell me what happens when you interrupt the internet connection?
permanently offline, Updates blocking, Microsoft has no access to your PC, I think Microsoft is cheering! 
no seriously, if I want to run Win 10 offline must I at Microsoft, create a Microsoft account, but that's not all!
One thing is for sure and nobody can refute that, Microsoft operates with Win 10 spying in a big style!
I already said, I have a Win10 PC, but I also have a special program, with this I can block everything, also Microsoft!

I have two computers running. The one with Windows 8.1 I use for work and Internet, and also Skyrim. The old one with Windows XP Professional is mostly for old games.

 

Unfortunately, I don't know anything about Windows 7 as I went directly from XP to 8.1. Practically everyone says 7 it's the best Windows ever but I don't know how well it can handle old games.

 

There's been much talk of newer hardware being unable to work with Windows XP but I have no personal experience with that because my XP computer's hardware is from the pre-7 era.

 

I advise strongly against just getting a new Windows and relying on the so-called "compatibility mode". I have never in my life been able to make anything work with "compatibility mode". Repeat: I have never in my life seen any program which wouldn't work normally and would work in "compatibility mode". "Compatibility mode" is one hundred percent useless.

 

Have you tried Dosbox on your current op system?
