NoNickNeeded Posted November 2, 2019 Posted November 2, 2019 Hello, I just tried to change a slot for an outfit and now it is invisible. What I try to achive is being able to wear the garterbelt from [NIN}Weddingdress 3 and a Dragon Scale from Elemental Dragons at the same time, but both are set to slot 60. First I opened the esp with Tes5Edit and changed the garterbelt's slot under BOD2 - Biped Body Template from 60 to 49. Then I opened the .nif file in NifSkope and in the BiSismemberSkinInstance also changed the slot from 60 to 49. While I can now wear both items at the same time, the garterbelt is no longer visible. What did I miss?
Andy14 Posted November 2, 2019 Posted November 2, 2019 You must edit the Armor Form + Armor Addon Form
NoNickNeeded Posted November 2, 2019 Author Posted November 2, 2019 I don't think I heard that term before. How do I do that and with which program?

In xEdit, you have to change the slots in the Armor, as well as the ArmorAddon. You can find the link from the Armor to the ArmorAddon in xEdit under "Armature" and just Ctrl + left-click it. You also have to make sure the mesh you are using (nif) matches the settings you are making in the esp. That is under BSDismemberment. For most armors that aren't full-body, I would recommend just right-clicking it and selecting "convert -> NiSkinInstance" to save yourself future headaches. As a NiSkinInstance, it won't matter what body slot you assign it to, it'll show up either way.
NoNickNeeded Posted November 2, 2019 Author Posted November 2, 2019 I was looking for the addon field in the regular armor entry in xEdit... didn't think you have to go back a level and go to armor addon THERE. *headbang* Sometimes you can't see the things right under your nose ? Thank you, it works now. And I also learned that xEdit is a collective term for severl <game>Edit, including Tes5Edit by the same team. I was a bit confused for a moment when I clicked on the link for "xEdit for Skyrim" and ended up on the mod-page for Tes5Edit. ^^
