Kamen Rider Kuuga Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 For as long as I can remember, spanning almost 30 years, I've sat on the floor whenever I could do so. In school, if we ever did any kind of group project, I would naturally just sit on the floor when others sat at desks. Even when visiting, if the person didn't have a problem with it, I would sit on the floor rather than a couch or a chair. Â It has nothing to do with culture; I simply cannot stand to sit in chairs if I don't need to. Couches as well; I'm not just comfortable unless I'm planted firmly to the floor. Â Am I alone in this?
gregathit Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 Well, you have found your exact opposite. I avoid sitting on the floor like it was a plague. I'd rather sit on a hard chair than soft carpet. Until you said something I never even really realized it either.
vashar Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 I'll sit on the floor if other people are sitting on the floor, and on chairs if other people are sitting on chairs. I'm more likely to sit on whichever is cushioned though, I think.
Something Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 I sit when everyone else is standing and stand when everyone else is sitting. Usually. Though I prefer to sit when i'm alone. As for sitting on the floor I do not personally do that all that often.
srayesmanll Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 And of course, I have to be somewhat different. Since I sit on my ass far too long during the day for work, and at home playing Skyrim or FONV, I tend to stand a lot at get togethers, even if everyone else is sitting (unless it a dinner party, of course). It sometimes annoys people, which is a bonus for me ... On those rare occasions that I do sit at get togethers, it's definitely on a chair - I'm a big guy and the floor is just too much of a pain to get up from for me.
Strelky Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 For me it doesn't matter where I sit, long as there's a good backrest
AgentChicken Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 I Have the world's most comfortable Butt so it does not matter where i sit . the only place i had a problem sitting was on a Rock during a 45 Degree heat (115 for you americans) and my butt cooked on the Stone. But other than that I can sit almost anywhere
Guest Lady Luck Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 lol whenever i got that "boredom " feeling i always sit on the floor idk somehow it calms me down >.
El Sparrow Posted January 20, 2013 Posted January 20, 2013 I prefer the floor to a chair - chairs get uncomfortable fast, doubly so when I'm ill, though it seems to be purely psychological - but I'll always take lounging on a couch over sitting on the floor - less chance of wandering monster encounters on a couch. I fucking hate (read: am terrified of) spiders.
Angrybird Posted January 21, 2013 Posted January 21, 2013 I don't mind if it's not cold or in the middle of Timbuktu.
