Sims 4 Frequent Crashes

Thought I had this sorted out already, but apparently not. Ever since updating my game to the most recent version (1.56.52.1220) my game has been crashing within 5-10 minutes of gameplay and always crashes after leaving CAS. I've redownloaded Origin and TS4, cleared my caches, all that jazz, and it's still happening.

Here's my lastCrash.txt I don't know if it'll actually prove helpful, but there it is. I'm using a MacBook Air (2014), so I can't even use ModConflictDetector. Here's the stats for that:

macOS Mojave v10.14.6 (18G95)

Processor Name: Intel Core i5

  Processor Speed: 1.4 GHz

Graphics Card: Intel HD Graphics 5000 1536 MB

Memory: 4 GB 1600 MHz DDR3

I'm gonna dig around and see if there are any tools that can help me. In the meantime, if anyone can offer any help that'd be great.

Also, note to self, build your own fucking rig next time. Fuckin' A.

First thing is to remove all your mods/cc and retest on a new game.

You don't want to mess up any old saves for now.

Make sure it's not being caused by mods or a bad save game.

Other Notes:

Laptops SUCK for gaming... Period.

It sounds like a hardware problem to me, possibly bad memory or bad GPU/overheating.

Overheating is quite common on Laptops when running games.

CTD's could mean your CPU/GPU is dying, all the heating and cooling cycles crack the solder traces on the MB over time.

Keep in mind your 4GB mem is also being shared with the GPU :(

I'm not a big fan of Mac's for gaming either, but there fine for other home uses.

I'm also not a fan of M$ either but it's what most of us have been stuck with since forever as it runs most games pretty well but after Win7 they really went to shit.

You should have 8GB min and a separate Graphics Card with 2-4GB.

TS4 needs a strong GPU to really enjoy all the eye candy IMO.

I know EA says it will run with blah blah blah but...

More EP's need more memory, and that's not counting any mods either.

Always built my own and have stuck with Win7 Pro OS for gaming.

You can still find/buy old/disabled codes off ebay from a guy in Aus.

I found an original Dell Win7 pro install/restore disk off ebay too, and it's worked on many different PCS.

Some have had problems installing Win7 on the newest motherboards due to the chipsets.

So make sure anything you buy is Win7 compat. if you go that route.

Still running an older 4 core/8GB and it runs everything great.

Don't have but a few EP's but I run a ton of mods.

I run TS2 on my older Core2 Duo laptop because it can't run TS3, lol.

Its gotta be broken CC. This is what I had to do, and its going to suck but it should fix the problem. Create a backup of your mods and tray folders if you want, then go through every household you want to save with the tray importer and export all of them with CC. Delete your mods and tray files in the Sims 4 folder and then install all your households and mods from what you saved with the importer. If it works, then you're gonna have to start over with mods again, but at least you'll know whatever was breaking your game was gone, if it does not work, then you've at least narrowed down the problem to being something that's saved to files related to the sims themselves like clothing, traits and aspirations and can more easily narrow the problem down.

Reason I recommend this over the 50 50 method right now is because there might well be way more than one single thing breaking your game and just saving the CAS items you want and re doing it with gameplay mods will likely save you time in the long run.
