fishburger67 Posted October 10, 2019 Posted October 10, 2019 I went back to the Mass Effect Trilogy recently and I must say that I have been having a blast with the DLCs and mods that are available. I had a lot of trouble figuring this all out and wanted to share it for posterity here as most of the links you will find elsewhere in LL are broken and you might just have as much fun with this as I did.  Mass Effect 2 is somewhere in the top 10 of best computer games in many sites. Mass Effect 3 was widely panned because of the several things and especially the ending. However, with the mods I will tell you about, I now consider Mass Effect 3 to be as good or better than Mass Effect 2.  With the DLCs and the mods I added, the game now seems almost new. You will note below that I did not use ALOT or any of the other texture replacers because for my weak eyes, I didn't see much improvement and I didn't want to overwrite the nude texture replacers that painstakingly added.  Mass Effect 1 Not many mods for ME1 which is a shame, but I am guessing that it was difficult and the DLCs are now included in the game when you buy it from Steam for $10.  Mods used: Nude Dancers    Mass Effect 2 DLCs:  Kasumi: Stolen Memory. Lair of the Shadow Broker. Overlord. Arrival. Zaeed: The Price of Revenge. Project Firewalker.  Mods: Miranda Nude Black Outfit. Very well done textures. Kasumi Nude Lingerie. Not so well done textures. Jack Nude. Again, not so well done textures. Tali Nude. Bad textures. This one needed the mesh redone too. Nude Dancers. This one also makes makes Kelly Chambers nude if you romance her in her dancing scene. No Mini Games. Because this was my third and forth play throughs, I was getting sick of screwing with the hacks and bypasses. It also gets all resources with a single click of a planet. Kelly Chambers Nude. Forgot where I got this, but I will be happy to share it. Sultry Samara. Once again, forgot where I got it, but it is identical to the Sultry Samara for ME3. I am pretty sure that these last two (and probably most) are done by @Apogee777 and are available in A7_ME2_Collection.  Notes: I hated Project Firewalker. That stupid M-44 Hammerhead was just a pain in the ass and there was nothing in the content that made it even slightly fun to play. Overlord had the same Hammerhead, but the content was at least amusing and some of the art was really stunning. Lair of the Shadow Broker was a blast. It really made this play through worth it. Arrival was mildly amusing.  I played this through to nearly the end without making a love interest and then saved the game. Then I romanced Miranda, Kelly, Jack and Tali from that save and made a save of each to import to a ME3 play through. The Jack romance was by far the best and the carry-over effect to ME3 was awesome. The Kelly dance scene if you romance her was killer especially with the Nude Dancers mod. The rest were eh.  I originally had trouble triggering the Kelly scene I assume because I had taken the romance options of the others right up to the trigger point. But, so long as you don't actually take the final step, you can follow this guide to get it to trigger. Do all the steps even though they don't make sense. Also, forget romancing Kelly if you romanced any of the others. I spent several hours trying different save game edits and nothing worked.  Mass Effect 3 Tomorrow.  11
fishburger67 Posted October 10, 2019 Author Posted October 10, 2019 Mass Effect 3  ME3 has the best and most mods available. ME2 is in the top 10 list of best computer games on many web sites. ME3 is now better in my opinion because of these new mods.  ME3Explorer is said to be the source of those mods. They are not just texture mods, but real game play mods as well. If you follow the link and read the description you will see that this tool has been used to create many of the really cool mods like MEHEM (the happy ending mod) and the Extended Galaxy mod. Because of these mods and the DLCs, ME3 is vastly improved. Because of EGM (Extended Galaxy Mod), it feels like a real war. This, in my view, is what Bioware should have released to begin with.  DLCs: Extended Cut   Modified and extended ending cinematics From Ashes   1 new Squadmate, 1 new Mission, 1 new Assault Rifle, 6 new Squadmate Outfits, 2 new Achievements Leviathan DLC   10 Missions, 10 Locations, 1 Assault Rifle, 1 Shotgun, 5 Weapon Mods, 11 War Assets, 1 Cabin Item, 4 Achievements Omega DLC   2 Temporary Squadmates, 5 Missions, 2 Locations, 2 Enemies, 2 Assault Rifles, 5 Weapon Mods, 4 War Assets, 1 Cabin Item, 3 Achievements Citadel   8 Temporary Squadmates, 17 Missions, 5 Locations, 21 enemies, 2 weapons, 3 armor sets, 7 Weapon Mods, 2 War Assets, 9 Acheievements Several Other weapon and armor DLCs   In particular, Omega and Citadel are killer DLCs. I have played both three times now and never get tired of doing them. The Citadel DLC even has different dialog depending on your love interest and it is often very funny and always entertaining. Whoever directed Citadel should have directed the entire game in my view.  Mods: MEHEM The Mass Effect 3 Happy Ending Mod. This mod fixes the ending that so many people complained about. However, I prefer the later JohnP's Alternate MEHEM. EGM - Expanded Galaxy Mod. This one makes the fight against the reapers feel like a real war. This is a big mod with lots of content. It really changes the feel of the whole game. ME3Recalibrated. Fixes bugs and some other minor things. I didn't really see any game changes except that I no longer got stuck while doing some of the missions because I tried to climb a hill or go places I shouldn't. Ken and Gabby Recruitment Restoration Mod. Not much, but I really like Ken and Gabby in my engine room. Omega Hub. After the omega DLC is finished, you can go back to Afterlife and hang out with your crew and get drunk and pass out. This is a WIP with some bugs, but it is still a kick in the ass. Priority Earth Overhaul Mod. This one was just finished last month and it is worth it. However, it is incompatible with ALOT and for that reason, you might want to ditch it. Also, save your game before firing the missiles. There are several people complaining of the game hanging then. Worked fine for me, but I did have other minor issues. This mod is being actively worked on and a version 2 is coming sometime soon and I might do another play through just for it. Sexy Anderson House. Just eye candy. Tali Full Face Mod. Tali is the best ME3 romance option and this gives her a real face. It is well done. Tali Romance Mod. And this is why she is the best romance option. Nude Dancers. Makes the dancers on the Citadel and Omega nude (not sure if they are nude on Omega by default).  This is a must have for me. Sultry Samara. Obligatory nude mode and the same textures and the ME2 one. Velvet Miranda. Another of @Apogee777's great nude mods. A7 Elite Ashley. And yet another bit of Apogee777's work. Liara in Leather. or Liara Naughty White Suit. I really wanted the first to work, but MassEffectModder reported an error with it so I used the second. Slooty EDI. It is contained in the linked zip file. Naked Traynor - Even for male players, this makes Traynor nude in the hot tub scene that is part of the Citadel DLC. The textures are not good, but better than the bra and panties. This mod may fix that but the forums report issues.  The only things missing are a slooty Traynor and a slooty Allers. Looked all over and couldn't find anything.  To get Tali or Jack as romantic interests, you have to have romanced them in ME2. There is not much carry over with Kelly Chambers ME2 romance except a fade to black. Tali is the best because you can invite her to your cabin any time. However, the Jack scene in the Citadel scene it terrific. I have done Liara and Tali and the Jack scene is by far the best, but you don't have much intereaction with her during the game.  However, with the EGM mod, you can pick Jack, Samantha, or Kasumi as squad mates. Now, all I have to do is find out how to use the ME2 nude Kasumi in ME3.       7
fishburger67 Posted October 10, 2019 Author Posted October 10, 2019 1. Make sure you use MassEffectModder to add .mem, .tpf, and .mod files. MExExplorer fails to import many textures that succeed in MassEffectModder and it is a bitch to use. Just open the Textures menu option for the game you want to change, then the mod menu, then select the textures you want to import. When they are in the left hand window, select them all and right click and select apply. Rokabur Posted October 10, 2019 Posted October 10, 2019 Wish all 3 games were ported to UE4 so they could be properly modded. 2

Rokabur Posted October 11, 2019 Posted October 11, 2019 Just wish it was possible to romance Liara AND Tali starting in Mass Effect 1 and get with both of them for the entire trilogy.

That would be good. I'd be happy if you could romance one of the non-romance characters like Kelly Chambers and have it not effect your main love interest.  On a side note, does anyone know how to port ME2 texture mods to ME3? All the links elsewhere on this topic seem to be broken. For example, I have Kasumi texture mod for ME2 that I would like to also have in ME3.

fishburger67 Posted October 12, 2019 Author Posted October 12, 2019 For those of you who haven't tried it, Omega Hub is a fucking hoot. I was just in there again and discovered some other things I didn't see the first time and I am still laughing.
fishburger67 Posted October 12, 2019 Author Posted October 12, 2019 For anyone interested in what is in Expanded Galaxy Mod, here is a rather lengthy interview. Â http://donthatethegeek.com/new-mass-effect-3s-expanded-galaxy-mod/

Bobster6 Posted October 19, 2019 Posted October 19, 2019 Excellent post, and thank you for pointing out all of the new naked dancer mods, hadn't seen those before. And I would be so happy to see a new Naked Traynor mod that actually looks decent.
sora3 Posted October 19, 2019 Posted October 19, 2019 @fishburger67, you might want to replace the Naked Traynor with this mod instead:Â https://www.nexusmods.com/masseffect3/mods/750 Â Seems that the older mod is having issues loading in but this one works better.

fishburger67 Posted October 22, 2019 Author Posted October 22, 2019 Thanks, I am amazed to see how many people are still playing Mass Effect. The Nexus Mass Effect forums are very active.
HuntressLilith Posted March 3, 2020 Posted March 3, 2020 How exactly do i install the textures like the Liara Leathers one? I have them and I got the Texmod that they require, but there aren't any instructions anyplace on where to install the files and such to use them. Anyone know? Even picked up the ME3Modder program someone here mentioned and no clue on how to use it to try to install things.
HuntressLilith Posted March 3, 2020 Posted March 3, 2020 Hmm well tried using ME3explorer and was able to figure it out for installing the TPFs, but then the game seems to hang/freeze on loading up a game (save or new). So something about installing them is messing up the game.
