Has anyone got this working on Skyrim VR? It crashes on my side

Hey dreamcrawler, this will be totally unhelpful, but I have no knowledge of SkyrimVR at all. I always assumed that SE and VR are basically the same scripting wise and such.

Maybe you can find out why you are crashing with this Crashlogger (which has a VR version). I find this version has much clearer logs for finding crash causes.

Sorry I can't be more help.

I made a patch for this mod and Legacy of the Dragonborn.  Solitude Men's Club Expanded Location patch 1.0.0 .

Love this mod and thank you for the patch!  I would LOVE a patch to move the location of the Riften's Club because it conflicts with "Amberleaf Farm" from the mod Riften Extension - Southwoods:
https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/47074

I tried myself to make a patch, but I failed miserably :(

Spent a day trying to teach myself Creation Kit, but I admittedly have no idea what I'm doing

Any help/advice would be much appreciated and thank you regardless.

Hi Butch -- I love this mod & appreciate the work you and ffabris have done for the gay community!

I wanted to ask about the min & max scan times for random sex interactions -- I want to reduce the delay in between each one. Should the values of these times be lower or higher? Thanks!

You can change the scan times in the MCM. If I recall correctly, there is a minimum setting for the minimal slider. This was hard coded to stop overstressing the game (way back when).

Set the minimum slider to the lowest value and play around with the maximum slider until you are happy with the results.

And no need to thank me for anything for this mod. This is all ffabris' work. I merely converted it to Skyrim SE ;)

Unfortunately I don't know how I would go about creating a location patch. Aragonit made the patch for the the Solitude club, so maybe if you ask him really nicely he could make a patch?

I currently don't have a working Skyrim install, so I can't check where the door is... if you have just the clubs installed, you could try the Location Patch?

The location patch fixed the issue with the Thief mod also.

does anyone have screenshots of the club locations? I cant find them anywhere.

I don't know if this is relevant but the mod doesnt have an MCM so I dont know if the mod is working or not

The mod should have a MCM. If you don't have the MCM, it could mean the mod isn't working correctly. Causes could be you forgot to activate the esp (been there, done that many times) or it is clashing with another mod. Or maybe something went wrong during the download. Or the MCM/ mod is lazy in registering, try opening the console (usually the ~ key) and type in: setStage ski_configManagerInstance 1, the n closing the console again (~key) and wait a few seconds.

As far as screenshots go, unfortunately I don't have any. The locations of the clubs are:

Solitude: in the hill going towards the Blue Palace. If not using the Location patch (which moves it opposite thane Breyling's lower door), the door is opposite thane Erikur's lower door in the hill itself.

Riften: On the lake outside Riften. Easiest way to find/ reach it, is using the exit from Riften behind the Jarls house/ the orphanage and following that road a bit.

Windhelm: on the other side of the water from Windhelm's docks, between the farms there.

Hope this helps.

I also have the same issue where I installed the mod, enabled everything, solved conflicts, did a bashed patch, etc... and nothing. No MCM and no locations visible. It's like the mod is empty. ^^"

I need a bit more information from you to see what would cause it:

Did you check you have all the requirements? Did you try "setStage ski_configManagerInstance 1" (without the quotes) to hopefully kick the MCM into starting?

Also, what conflicts did you find/ solve with this mod? Apart from a few [Cell] references and the cosmetics for Tulvur, there should be no conflict with any other mod. Well, except if you use Legacy of the Dragonborn, for which there is a location patch in the main post.

The fact that you had conflicts already means that the mod isn't empty. You could always double check in xEdit for that.

Final solutions I can offer are:

Redownload the mod (and location patch if needed) to see if something might have gone wrong during download

if the MCM really won't start at all, try downloading and installing MCM Helper, which has updated/ more streamlined SkyUI scripts.

Other than this,I don't know what would cause it. I have never been able to replicate any problems with this (or other ffabris) mods.

I have to answer in parts:

`) Yes I checked the requirements, and I have them all.

2) The conflicts were from "Bard Reborn Student of Song", and "Enhanced Solitude SSE".

3) I did re-download the mod, but same results. I do not have the location patch, but I thought that only moved the Solitude door and I haven't been to Solitude yet. I tried locating the ones in Riften and Windhelm, and found nothing. Is there supposed to be a building? A hatch in the ground? A door in a rock? What am I looking for?

4) I do have MCM Helper. I also have MenuMaid 2, It doesn't list this mod at all, and I both used the setStage command AND used MenuMaid to try getting it to show. What is the EXACT name of the MCM menu, please?

I will answer in parts as well :

1) good, so it won't be caused by that.

2) If mods make changed to the hill on which the Blue Palace stands, I guess the would conflict with SMC, thought SMC only adds an entrance into the hill. Either at opposite Erikur's downstairs door (original) or opposite Thane Bryling's downstairs house (LOtD location patch).

3) the LOtD patch page has an image of where the club entrance is and what it looks like in Solitude. As said before, it is in the hill side when you go to the Blue Palace.

The club for Riften is not in Riften itself. It is a farmhouse on the shore of Lake Honrich. You can get there easiest taking the street between the Jarls house and the orphanage and exiting through the gate there. It is between the gate and Snowshod farm.

The club for Windhelm is also not in the city itself. This is a farmhouse opposite the harbor between Brandymug and Hlaalu farms.

4) ffabris set up the MCM through the script smc_config.psc. I have never made an MCM, so I have no idea how it works.

I hope you can get it to work. I really have no idea why it wouldn't start on it's own. I have never been able to replicate any errors with the mod.

I just want to double check but like I don't need the original mod for this one to work, right....?

Also, I did follow the directions about the clubs; I looked outside the cities. The clubs not there for me. This is why I tried asking PRECISELY what I was looking for, but you didn't answer this.

I don't have LotD so I'm not sure I should get the patch...

You say you never made an MCM, but what I asked for is, what is the name of it so I know which section of my MCM to look for? (I still haven't seen anything it

might be, though).

If I do ever get this working, I'll be very happy indeed. Thanks for the work you did in any case.

Nope, you won't need the original mods. "My" version is a rather simple SE conversion and merge of the 3 separate LE mods. If all else fails, you could of course try to convert the LE mods to SE yourself and see if that helps? It is not that difficult to do: run the textures and meshes through SSE NIF Optimizer. (Don't activate the head parts option!). You don't really have to resave the esp in Creation Kit to change to form 44. Opinions vary if that does more harm than good. Some modding programs, like Wrye Bash, will just complain, but you can ignore that.

As for what you are looking for, I did answer you: both the Riften and Windhelm clubs are in a (farm) house, named Riften Men's Club or Windhelm Men's Club. The club in Solitude has a somewhat ornate doorway into the side of the hill. If you have been to the locations and didn't see houses, then the mod isn't working. Also, if you don't use LotD, you don't need the location patch, so the entrance will be opposite Erikur's lower backdoor. I don't have a working install of Skyrim right now, or I would have taken some pics to show you where they are and what the look like.

I misunderstood you about the name of the MCM. It should show up in the MCM list as Solitude Men's Club.

I must say I am mystified as to why you are having so much trouble to get the mod the show up. The mods were made in locations that are generally not used by other mods (except LotD in Solitude). Only one vanilla NPC is used/ repurposed: Tulvur, a farmhand from the last farm opposite Windhelm's harbour. And apart from placing him in the Solitude main club and giving him some packages and text, no vanilla scripting is changed. ffabris was always very particular about compatibility that way.

Oh. And the mod won't really start until you have entered the main club in Solitude, but all assets are placed at game start. So the houses are already present but key-locked until the necessary quests have started.

You could check with xEdit if something is overwriting Tulvur, but I doubt that would prevent the whole mod from working.

As I am sure you know, nothing should be overwriting the mod. The only things that could overwrite it, are other ffabris mods, since most of them share aesthetics and decor. If you use MO2, you can easily see it if that happens. I don't use Vortex, so I don't know how that works.

And as I said, if all fails, you could try converting the LE mods to SE as described above.

I am sorry I can't be more help. If you do manage to get it working, please let me know what the issue was/ is and how you fixed it?

I've updated the LOTD patch on the Nexus page: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/62858 and accidentally deleted the mod page here. So if anyone needs the patch for Legacy of the Dragonborn 5.x or 6.x you know where to find it.

You can ask one of the moderators to restore your mod page. I have done that in past as well. I am glad to see I am not the only one who made that mistake :D

Went to the Windhelm Men's Club today and it's.....empty.  Not a single NPC in the upstairs portion, not even an innkeeper.  Can't check out the basement because I don't have a key.  I've tried coming at a variety of different times of day but not joy.

Anyone else encountered this or have any suggestions on how to troubleshoot it?

EDIT: For whatever reason, the main quest that runs the mod never fired.  I started it manually and now things seem to be working normally.
