you could have said something like this : hey peco I don't really know how to install this because all those pics and the bright colors makes it hard for my small mouthbreathing, bottomfeeding brain to comprehend the steps it takes to install this mod in my sims game.

 

maybe people would have helped you and told you how to install it but hey it's always an good solution to be rude as introduction /s

Great option to replace one or the other channel. I wish the video format would be more user-friendly then we could see more content.

 

@ juhani: 'view file > download this file' is the way to get it.

 

No offence meant, but embedding multiple files to download within the post within 'hidden contents' may be considered odd. One could wonder whether everything is in the .7z or some  more .package files are needed.

Let me speak for the silent majority who think your mod is great:  Thank you, and we hope you keep putting out even more new content!!!

 

If someone doesn't like your main file page, all they have to do is click the green "Download This File" button on the top right to get a list of all available files.  How hard can that be?

 

EDITED TO ADD:  Gee whiz, I just went to the main file page and saw that under the the green button you condensed things to SD and HD AIO combination packages.  I don't see how you can make it much easier.

With such a great ? mod you won already, didn't you? 

Personally I wouldn't include files in the post because releasing an update by replacing just the zip file is much easier. Most creators do it this way as far as I can tell.

 

I read the link about video/TV channel creation. Usually I use "ffmpeg ..." to convert videos but the EA codecs (except without compression) are not supported and one needs 3 tools to convert it and to add audio. At least it seems to be complicated even though it may be straightforward. I added an mp4 video to a package and crashed the game this way ;)

There's only one thing though, could you please re-phrase the following sentence, as the spanish version has that masculine/feminine thing going on, and I don't want to make a mistake.

For reference, here's how the original Romance Channel string looks like:

lol, yeah. my workflow is:

  1. export a raw file from the video editor
  2. convert it to 15 fps xvid avi (the only video format virtualdub likes) with any video converter
  3. convert that into vp6 avi with virtualdub + export wav audio
  4. correct wav for any sync issues, etc with audacity
  5. convert wav to dat with generic stream creator
  6. use vp6 converter to merge the video + audio to get the final file that can go into the package
  7. then it just crashes the game, coz why not, so it's back to step 3 and redo the video 2-6 times until i succeed. :)

I mean, the separate package files included in the main post don't need to be updated/re-uploaded every time i post a new video + i like to see how many people downloaded each file (it's good as a feedback tool to find out what sort of videos people prefer).

So maybe the plots are custom, but I don't know why you didn't go with spoof names as well like Womb Raider instead of Toomb Raider or something like that. Yes the titles are in the Sim alphabet and they could say anything, but they don't.

One day, or later, I'll write a mod to read text strings from a user config file to replace random strings in Sims4. Eg 'Woohoo' with 'intimate gymnastics'. It may also be used to replace 'CinErotique' with 'Penthouse TV' (SD content) or Penthouse HD for a more realistic gameplay. I'll make sure that also 'Tomb Raider' can be replaced with 'Bomb Raider'. ;)

@fionafionafeher maybe i wasn't very clear. my problem is that -apart from not speaking spanish :)- there are gendered versions of certain words - for example {M1.coqueto}{F1.coqueta} and {M1.poniéndolo}{F1.poniéndola}.

How the game works is that depending on the sims' gender it uses {M1.text} if the sim is male, and {F1.text} if the sim is female.

 

So, let's adapt your translation according to that: Haz que {1.SimFirstName} pase a estar {M1.coqueto}{F1.coqueta} seleccionándole interacciones románticas o {M1.poniéndolo}{F1.poniéndola} a ver porno por la tele.

 

For a male sim this would show up as: Haz que Carlos pase a estar coqueto seleccionándole interacciones románticas o poniéndolo a ver porno por la tele.

For a female sim this would show up as: Haz que Isabella pase a estar coqueta seleccionándole interacciones románticas o poniéndola a ver porno por la tele.

 

Could you confirm that both of these sentences (Carlos/Isabella ones) are correct?, or if not, could you please correct them.

I have an idea/request:  Is it possible to make TV sets that only play one channel, always on?  Kinda like how there are speakers that only play one channel all the time. 

 

I am working on asmall porno theater lot, but it just uses big TV sets as screens, since that's all we have.  Someone has to operate it like a normal TV set, not so theatre-like.  Plus somebody could change the channel!

@snarfies I've been looking for a mod like that too without any success. :(  Sadly, making it myself would be way beyond my abilities...

PornHub kept nuking my vids, disabling them randomly sometimes for days due to "community reports". Now, all seems to be working fine, so I changed back the links from openload to PH.

BTW, Openload works perfectly fine if you have any sort of ad-blocking plugin installed, which franky, this day and age you should. (I recommend uBlock Origin).
