What's New in Version 2.1

UPDATE (2019-OCT-28):

• Due to popular QQing in the thread, a NEW --FIREPLACE CHANNEL-- REPLACER version is introduced in this update. So all the basic channels can be kept. Don't forget to upgrade your TV ("Super Reception"), otherwise it doesn't show up!
• Added / Updated the In-game icons related to the channel and the Optional Extra Channel icons.

It's an interesting thing with TV upgrade necessity to get the channel, I never even noticed that. The only thing I don't like here is the Fireplace channel is always in the secondary pie menu.

@BossGame I'm wondering how often do sims autonomously watch the Fireplace channel if it's available on TV? Because, perhaps, it doesn't make much sense to use it if they watch it rarely.

Not sure really when it comes to autonomously, but since @peco328 added the flirty moodlet and get whims to watch that channel, maybe sims that's already in a flirty mood will autonomously watch that channel. Don't know exactly how that works.

I've combed through the Autonomous Channel Picker tuning xmls, and i'm quite puzzled. Editing them either does absolutely nothing, or it's throwing LE's so hard that the sim just gets stuck in a loop of queuing/cancelling actions. it's quite frustrating.

Sadly, all i've managed to achive so far is to manipulate the list of channels that are available to the sims to pick autonomously from when using the TV / Watch TV option. (i've removed the really popular ones from the list, so they're not always watching the same 3-4 channel)

 

I think, i give up this whole xml thing for a while - the channel is feature complete enough at the moment - and i go back to create content for it... that at least i know how to do ?, plus i have a secret little side project i'm working on for a while now. wink-wink.

In this case it seems using Fireplace channel doesn't make much sense. I may like the idea of such an "optional" porn channel but I absolutely don't like if sims never watch it autonomously.

Agreed. Please, more hard porn content if possible, I mean plotless or with very short plots. Sometimes it may be bored to watch all those long backstories before sex scenes.

An idea: since the news channel has been replaced, maybe it makes sense to create some specific porn news? I can imagine a newscaster who's reading the news and then it shows some full screen porn scenes with backgroung newscaster's voice, some "CinErotique news" logo, some text on the slip screen or even with a creeping line.

You can even make special news with newscaster in a spirit of hit parade, something like "top 10 cum shots of the year" or  "top 5 voyeur family sex outdoor" or "the most shameless sex in public" or "Live broadcast of the CinErotique Porn Awards ceremony"... There may be different ideas, the main thing is the newscaster is telling something then shows a video then says again and again shows...

Huge thanks for the update @peco328! The own channel buff is really classy feature, I like it so much! I noticed the buff icon even sparkles, looks very cool!

Also I never told but I absolutelly love your Pirates Of The Caribbean, that spicy action with such an amazing background track just drives me crazy! By the way I think it's the best example of the perfectly balanced channel content: less backstory, more sex action. Keep up the great work!

What's New in Version 3.0

UPDATE (2019-NOV-02):

Main mod file updated:

• Solved the issue of Sims never choosing the channel when autonomously watching TV. They do now!
• Restructured the inner workings of the main mod file, so now it's pretty much totally independent from most ingame assets.
• As of now, You can pick from a selection of 6 channels when choosing which channel to replace.
  (So no more QQing about which channel I should replace! Okay?! Seriously!!!!)

(when updating the main mod file, please be sure to remove all previous instances of the TVcinerotique_!IMPORTANT_ReplaceXXXXXX.package file!)

 

This is the feature complete version of the main mod file for now.
I promise I stop dumping daily updates from now on! ?
(unless there's a bug discovered somewhere)
