I can't get this to work, because i'm doing something wrong probably.

I need 3DMigoto in the root folder of SAO HR, is that as a single folder or loose files?

The MOD folder does that go into the root folder or userdata?

 

Sorry i'm not very good at modding, but i like your work on this project so i want to try it.

• Download: test DEMO mod in post on 1st page, extract in the SAO;HR root (where main exe file is present)
• then download MOD2
• at least download MOD4 (Update v2) extract to the mod\MOD4\mod4.ini
• MOD2 & MOD4 extract to the mod folder (be sure folder MOD1&MOD2&MOD4 exist)

Same here, my controller stopped working properly when I installed the mod.

Can't be something with the mod. (Meaning the actual mod files) But with 3DMigoto. As that is what is hooking into the game. I'll try my version this weekend. But FYI - I don't have the standard version. If it works, my advice? Download a crack for the steam version and run it offline mode. (This is completely legal as you own a copy of the game. What you do with the game files is your business as long as you don't connect to an online service.) As this might be a case of 3Dmigoto is messing with the game. So considering the controller support would go through Steam, the cracked version would still run with the controller. As it already has the files self contained.

 

Now if this does work with the YARR version, I can't provide a link to the crack or anything like that. I can merely tell you guys it works. You'll have to troubleshoot on your own as it's against the rules.

 

EDIT: But that's my best guess. As I've noticed Steam is now highjacking Xinput for games. Every time I launch a game with a controller, it comes up with a popup saying "controller ...something something." So Steam now seems to be controlling the APIs for controllers. When it didn't use to do that unless you specifically told it to. (Custom controller profile for a specific game.)  3Dmigoto also hooks into the game. So essentially it and steam are fighting each other. And apparently steam is losing. Again, this speculation. But considering the only thing these mods are doing is using 3Dmigoto. It has to be that Steam isn't liking 3Dmigoto with this game. As the actual mod files are not editing game code. So can't be the cause. That means 3Dmigoto is the cause.

That is speculation at this point. I have not been able to test my theory out yet. I've had to replace my Rack and Pinon on my car this weekend. So that's taken up all my time. But considering users are reporting issues, my best guess is steam is conflicting with 3Dmigoto for this game. Only way to prevent that is to crack it. But again, as this is against the forum rules, you will have to do the work yourself. I will not troubleshoot anything regarding pirated copies.

Probably busy. We do have lives. When anyone has an update, there will be a new post. Quite frankly, spamming the topic with "any updates" (this goes in general to the recent posters) does not, infact persuade anyone who is modding a game, to release quicker. Infact it does the direct opposite. A lot of users on modding forums don't realize, people do this as a hobby in their free time. Everyone has a life. And even though this is an adult forum dedicated to modding games. A lot of the modders, do infact have families. Wives, Husbands, children. So there may be long stretches of time where there is no update. If this is unbearable to you, pick up the skill yourself. The internet is vast, google and youtube are amazing tools. Teach yourself and produce your own mod. I've literally done that myself and I'm still teaching myself how to texture and 3D model. The only deciding factor is time.

 

Hell, reddit even has a sub reddit dedicated to literally requesting someone to make a 3D model for you. I've used this before, and the one I used (can't remember the title of the sub reddit) even allowed adult content. So you can request them to make you a 3D model for your mod, as long as you supply them a usable model. So if something is taking to long to release, do it yourself, and use the internet to facilitate it's creation.

 

Unless you are personally paying someone to create something for you, the name of the game is patience. It will be done when it's done. And modders throughout this forum have proven, they don't keep shit private. When they have something you can use, they will release it. So asking for an update does nothing but frustrate the modder. So if your goal is to literally piss them off and potentially lead them to keeping the creation to themselves, by all means, spam your favorite game's topic. Otherwise, lurk. Check the thread every day like I do, if something isn't released. Move on.

 

Note : These statements go to everyone. I'm not singling anyone out. So please do not take offense. I'm just saying, as someone who has tip toed in a modders shoes, "leechers" really do not appreciate the work that is involved. You see a mod release, you download and MAY say thank you. Otherwise, you completely disassociate from the sheer hours a simple mod takes to create. All in the name of getting your fix. My advice? Next time you want an update, learn about the game. Open the game's 3D model up in Blender, or 3DS max, and play around with it. Within a minute or two, you'll realize just how long it takes to create these mods, and will have a new found appreciation for modders. This shit isn't easy. It's damn near impossible to be honest and takes HOURS of youtube videos, researching, and googling, to even understand the basics. And trust me I can say that definitively because I saw a game I liked, a programmer told everyone how to mod the game, I took the knowledge, and learned how to create a nude mod and released it. Something as simple as modeling a 3D nipple and getting it to show up in game, with no issues, is an extremely arduous task. When you are a newbie to 3D modeling, UV, texture modeling, etc. Modding really requires having prior knowledge in multiple creative disciplines. So all I ask is, please, have patience. Realize, this stuff is not easy. Otherwise you wouldn't be asking other people. You inherently know it's not easy, otherwise you would be releasing mods yourself. So take a step back, realize you won't see your favorite sexy character in the game in all her/his nude glory, when you want it. Sit back, relax, do something else, and silently thank people like Nova.

I've done some programming myself on occasion, and it can suck balls based on the program you're using.

I also wanted to greatly acknowledge that you mentioned work for Argo. I was replaying HF and the devs have bed CGs for all "main heroines" yet Argo, who is in all their games and in many parts of their animations isn't counted as such, and is left without a CG, which hurts bc she is a quality character.

Sry for the triggered waifu ranting, simply wanted to recognize the work it takes sometimes.
