Prevent patch and play?

Just heard there is a patch tomorrow with adjustable stairs and hijabs, however, I don't really feel like removing all my mods immediately until they are updated, I know I can disable automatic updates for TS4 specifically in its origins settings but, can I then somehow launch and play the game while its out of date until the mod authors catch up?  If this doable could someone post the steps/checklist?

Simply open the Origin launcher and in the menu band at the top go to the origin menu then "Go Offline"

Being offline will allow you to not update the game and be able to launch it.

Unlikely that any of these changes will impact any mods you have, at least that's what I think looking at it. The Muslim stuff is just some new CAS items, and the stair tools, while neat, probably won't be a problem either unless you have a mod which alters stairs in any way.

Better safe than sorry I guess if you have lots of mods (mods that is, CC is pretty much always fine with patches), but little chance that many mods need updating because of this I think.

EDIT: As an example, I have alot of CC in my game, the mods I use are generally MCC, WW (and accompanying animations), Pose Player, and occasionally some autonomy tweaking mods and various degrees of NPC control and townie generation. I've only really had to sit back and wait for mods to update on a couple of occasions, those beign the big scripting rework and a couple of times when larger changes came with the expansions. Otherwise it's always been fine.

I do often feel like there's a lot of people who worry more about these patches than they probably should. Though I also don't really know if most people use lots more script mods than what I use, so maybe it's different in those case.

Agreed. I've only ever had to wait once or twice for maybe a day or two for a handful of mods to update, otherwise things function pretty normally or shoot up giant red flags if something is screwed up.

What mods would that be? All of mine are really working fine and I saw a list of mods that were broken or had issues and most had been updated within hours of the patch releasing it seems. Seems there were some bugs with Basemental and the Woohoo module of MCC, but WW is working fine.

Only issue I'm really having is a glitch with columns no longer adjusting to roof height, though this seems to have nothing to do with any mods or CC and is entirely a base game bug caused by some change in the patch.
