Reginald_001 Posted September 4, 2019 Posted September 4, 2019 So I've been thinking about doing this a while. I often walk into stuff I want to share with you all that doesn't really have a place anywhere. Awesome Sci-fi material, short films from Dust, wallpapers, short stories, or just a daily thought, whatever kind of awesome things I run into. So if you find awesome things I invite you to share them. As I know this will quickly turn into a mad house of things there are some rules: - The No.1 RULE: Add only 1 AWESOME THING PER POST. - The No.2 RULE: Post HD material only (for wallpapers) - Don't post GIFS, they belong in the Animated Gifs thread. - Don't post JOKES, they belong in the Jokes thread. - Don't be a jerk, respect your fellow poster. If you don't think something's awesome, keep it to yourself, or start your own 'xx's collection of terrible things' thread. - Don't post copyrighted material, follow the site rules. - Don't be a jerk, it's really easy. It really doesn't take a lot of effort. You can post and are invite to share: - Awesome videos from youtube - Awesome short free movies - Awesome wallpapers of any theme as long as they are HD (1920x1080 minimum) For this post, I kick off with this short 5 minute film, called 'Face Swap', posted and shared by the Dust channel. "Face Swap" directed by Einat Tubi and David Gidali A guy convinces his wife to try out a new AI technology to spice up their sex life, but gets a bit more spice than he bargained for. Synopsis: This short film may not feature internationally recognized A-list movie stars. But with the help of machine learning AI algorithms, our actors may seem a bit familiar. A cautionary science fiction satire, FACE SWAP is arguably the first narrative film using the “deepfakes” process as a storytelling tool. Director's Statement: FACE SWAP takes a satirical look at the imminent new reality ushered in by the advent of face swapping apps known as "Deepfakes". It poses the question: In today's world, do our faces still belong to us? Inspired by the broader ramifications of newly accessible machine learning algorithms and face recognition AI, we set out to create a parody portraying one way things could evolve. In an age in which the reliance on our eyes and ears for the truth has become exponentially more fragile, we hope our film serves as a social commentary on the looming implications of such technologies - the good, the bad and the ugly (or beautiful, in the case of our face swappers).
Reginald_001 Posted September 4, 2019 Author Posted September 4, 2019 Having said that.. here's my daily wallpaper (not sure how long the 'daily' part will last but hey). 5760x1080 - Perfect for 3 monitor setups like mine.
Mr. Otaku Posted September 4, 2019 Posted September 4, 2019 Sounds good. Let me start then. This here i've been using as my PC's lockscreen for few years now. I think it's simple yet pretty, gives a nice feel up front right on the center. The logo being reworked to house Skyrim's atmosphere. I like that.
Reginald_001 Posted September 4, 2019 Author Posted September 4, 2019 I thought this was pretty awesome..
Reginald_001 Posted September 4, 2019 Author Posted September 4, 2019 And this is pretty awesome as well!

ToJKa Posted September 5, 2019 Posted September 5, 2019 From the name to the events and to the music, this is the most <adjective> thing i've experienced in a game. Can't think of what that adjective should be. Impressive? Awesome? Horrible? All of them? Regardless, it's effective even after all these years. There were seven of them. And they used them on their own cities.
Reginald_001 Posted September 6, 2019 Author Posted September 6, 2019 This is particularly awesome.. Tagline: A crappy lawyer is suddenly forced to mediate in an interspecies dispute, ending in.. a date!
Reginald_001 Posted September 10, 2019 Author Posted September 10, 2019 Found this brilliant Warhammer based series on youtube. It's short, with 4 - 2 minute episodes.
Reginald_001 Posted September 11, 2019 Author Posted September 11, 2019 This is turning out to be really good:
