Outfit studio edits make tri files useless

I like to make mashups in outfit studio, but when I do this the tri files for the in-game bodyslide sliders no longer work. I can add physics to things and it all works fine. But, as soon as I move a single vertex and save it over the old file the in-game sliders stop working. Is there a way for me to edit things in outfit studio and still have the tri files work or is there something else that I need to do?

You have to create your own bodyslide files for your mashup, go to outfit studio and build your outfits with the cbbe base model ( you can find them in the "shapedata" folder), import your stuff and adjust them, when you are done go to slider>conform all or Ctrl+Shift+C . Finally save and name your Bodyslide creation by going to File>Save project as

Yeah, you have to save your changes in the project- not just make changes and then copy over the files in your game. You can add as much as you want to a nif and add a bunch of zaps to boot. Then save the project and build it as normal. If you know how, then you can also make your outfit changes in game through the armorer workbench.
