Upcoming DLC

I kept hearing magic was next, and I was surprised about "moschino".

I'll never buy moschino, but I'll love magic, and hopefully it'll be as good as sims 2-making magic.

I think I loved it most for the gypsy music.

I can't remember much else about it, except creepy trees

University wasn't boring but if I had to choose it would be magic.

making magic is from sims 1. There were no occult focused dlc from Sims 2, even if witches is from appartment life dlc.

Making magic from sims 1 was huge and it was the DLC with the most content, and also one of the best (if not THE best). There were so much to do. New worlds, witches with skills to learn, potions, malices, special skills really hard to get (like the teleportation one), new world (with activities + lots), dragons, fights (witches versus witches), secret lot  with magic beans... can do a longer list.

That said, I think you are delusional if you think S4 will do something similar.

They will NEVER do something like making magic. The dlc will be like 10% of what you could do in sims 1 with making magic. It's the case for pretty much all the dlc for S4.

Since they have to rush DLC for $$$, the best we can hope is new mechanics with new gameplay not similar like S1 so it's not disappointing.

But I'm pretty sure It will be just a new magic world with witches as occult, with some rabbit holes here and there and boring quest like the one with the salvadora temple. EA think money before everything so do not expect anything else than rushed content at this point.

So it looks like next dlc pack is going to be fantasy-themed... Raise your hand if you're still waiting for that University pack ?‍♂️

University would be nice, but frankly .... was there an expansion in 4 that wasnt inferior to its 3 equivalent in most aspects? I mean vampires are ok with the skill system, clubs are fun as well and they at least tried with the fame system .... but when I see stuff like World Adventures vs the boring jungle miniworld .... I am not very hopeful.

EA's getting lazy and stole SACRIFICIAL's and NeilSimming's mods. ?

Working on features? Pfeu... Useless! Let moddeurs do the work and then sell it as official content!

Some people don't understand when others are joking.
answering your question:

Yes I knew that ts, ts2 and ts3 had dlc about magic stuff but with ts1 I only had the base game, ts2 never became friends with a witch and when ts3 was released I only had an old laptop that didn't support the game.

and that's why I never had the opportunity to play with the magic part of the game.

Excuse me for being poor when I was little.

And I was just asking if you know about that because there are people that are serious with stuff like that I saw someone comment at simsvip about the fact that EA stole the sunburn feature from flerb for their Island Living GP as well as the mermaid lifestate from someone elses mod, so at this day and age I can't be sure if people are serious about stuff like that or joking

I liked witches and fairies in Sims 3, even though their feature set wasn't ground breaking. ?

I'm sure I'll like magic in Sims 4, I just hope children can get some fun, too, even if it's not the full spectrum of magic. They could cast some spells in Sims 3. Haven't noticed any kids in the trailer, so I'm a bit worried.

Genies were boring in The Sims 3 but the most practical super natural type to play due to their ability to make mundane applications of their magic, being able to summon food and clean their entire house magically. At the very least, I'd like to see them make a comeback as house keepers/valets (or 'butlers' as they are called in The Sims 4).
